## Description

When the goal is to intercept ants outdoors before they enter the home, placement near visible activity is a practical starting point. When the priority is tracking whether bait is being used, a see-through station makes that activity easier to observe.

TERRO T1813CAN combines both in ready-to-use liquid bait stakes for outdoor placement. The pack includes eight stakes for targeting common household ants, including acrobat, crazy, ghost and little black ants.

## Fit and sizing

Each stake is designed to be pushed into the ground where ant activity is detected. Its stated dimensions are 28L x 114W x 168H millimetres. Choose an active outdoor spot near the ants’ route, then cut the tab to make the bait available. This straightforward insert-and-cut setup keeps installation focused on the area you want to monitor and treat.

The weatherproof bait stations are made for outdoor use through various weather conditions. Their format suits someone looking to establish bait points around an area of observed ant activity, rather than relying only on addressing ants once they are already inside. With eight stakes in the pack, you can position bait at multiple locations where activity is present, the best placement is guided by what you can see outdoors.

## What you’ll notice day to day

Worker ants carry the liquid bait back to the colony, where its active ingredients are intended to target the queen and the rest of the colony. That approach focuses on ants beyond those immediately visible at the bait station. It is designed to intercept colony activity at its source and help address ants before they enter the home.

The see-through station gives you a direct view of ant activity and bait consumption. That makes routine checks more useful: you can see whether ants are visiting and whether bait is being used, then determine when a station needs replacement. The weatherproof design helps the stations remain useful outdoors through varying weather conditions, while the ready-to-use format avoids a separate bait-mixing step.

For a practical example, place a stake in the ground near a route where ants are active, cut the tab, and observe the station over time. The pack’s coverage of several common household ant types makes it relevant for outdoor control when the species may be one of the listed kinds. It offers a colony-targeting approach for people who want to act on outdoor activity, rather than focusing solely on ants already seen in living spaces.
