## Description

For connecting a fire hose to a threaded pipe or fitting, the SpringSpray HAFM1515 brings a 1-1/2" NPT female connection and a 1-1/2" NST (NH) male connection together in one brass adapter. Matching these thread types makes it a practical choice for general firefighting applications where that specific connection is needed.

Its central hexagonal section gives a wrench a bearing surface for adjustment, helping make installation more manageable.

## How it fits
One end has a female NPT thread, the other has a male NST, also known as NH, thread. Use it to join compatible threaded equipment in a fire hose setup. For example, it can serve as the link between a hose connection and a component with a 1-1/2" NPT male thread. The thread types and sizes need to match the parts being joined.

The fitting’s short, nipple-style form keeps the connection direct. Compared with choosing a connector that repeats the same thread type at both ends, this adapter is suited to a setup that needs NPT on one side and NST/NH on the other. Its hexagonal centre also gives you a defined surface to grip with a wrench when adjusting the fitting.

## Benefits
Brass construction offers corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures and low magnetic permeability. The material and the fitting’s straightforward threaded design make it useful for general fire protection connections, while the hex section supports wrench adjustment during installation.

Buyers commonly highlight that the fitting matches expectations and fits as intended. They also speak positively about its quality and how securely it holds during installation and day-to-day use. These are customer impressions rather than a substitute for matching the threads to the equipment in your setup.

## Is it worth it?
If your fire hose setup requires a 1-1/2" female NPT connection on one end and a 1-1/2" male NST/NH connection on the other, this fitting brings those two thread standards together in a compact brass part. The hexagonal centre is a useful installation detail, and brass provides the stated corrosion resistance and high-temperature ductility. It makes sense if you need this particular thread combination for a compatible fire protection connection.
