## Description

Take the P42i on a commute, into a busy office or along to a live event. Adaptive active noise cancellation responds to surrounding sounds, while Natural Mode is designed to lower loud concert and game noise more evenly, keeping voices, music and atmosphere clear.

LDAC and Hi-Res Audio support detailed listening, and six AI-enhanced microphones help reduce surrounding noise during calls. The wireless charging case extends listening time between charges, so the earbuds are ready for everyday listening and longer outings.

## Best use cases

For travel and other noisy daily routines, adaptive ANC helps hush traffic, crowds and similar background sounds, with noise reduction of up to 55 dB. Switch to Transparency Mode when you want to stay more aware of your surroundings. For concerts, festivals and big games, Natural Mode offers a different approach: it lowers loud live sound while preserving a more natural sense of the event. These modes make the P42i useful across settings where you may want either a more focused listen or more awareness of what is happening nearby.

At home or on the move, LDAC and Hi-Res Audio support rich, balanced treble and bass for music. Bluetooth 6.1 provides wireless connection to cell phones, while the six microphones with AI-enhanced noise reduction help keep your voice clearer during calls in busy places. The IP55 rating adds a practical feature for everyday use, and the in-ear design comes with multiple ear tip sizes to help you find a comfortable fit.

## Why it’s worth it

The P42i combines features that serve different parts of the day rather than focusing on just one listening situation. Adaptive ANC addresses everyday background noise, Transparency Mode supports awareness, and Natural Mode is intended for louder live events. LDAC and Hi-Res Audio add a listening-focused feature set, while the case’s stated 56-hour total playtime in Normal mode helps reduce how often you need to recharge. A 10-minute fast charge offers up to 3.5 hours of listening when time is short.

Compared with basic wireless earbuds centred on playback and calls, the P42i also offers selectable noise-control modes and a dedicated approach to live sound. Buyers’ comments highlight sound quality, battery life and noise cancellation, feedback on touch controls is mixed. It suits you if you want one pair for everyday listening, calls and louder events, with several ways to manage your listening environment.

## Practical questions

**How long does the battery last with ANC on?** The earbuds provide up to 8.5 hours per charge with ANC on, with up to 40 hours total when using the charging case. Actual listening time depends on the selected features and mode.

**What does Natural Mode do?** It lowers loud background sound more evenly while aiming to keep voices, music and the atmosphere of a concert, festival or game clear and natural.

**Can I use them for calls in busy places?** The six AI-enhanced microphones are designed to reduce surrounding noise so your voice can come through more clearly in places such as an office, train or windy street.

## Final verdict

The Soundcore P42i brings adaptive ANC, live-event Natural Mode, Hi-Res audio support and long stated playtime together in a true wireless in-ear design. It’s a practical fit for listeners who move between commutes, calls, music and loud events and want dedicated sound modes for those different settings.
