## Description

Up-and-down LED lighting gives walls a warm glow while adding useful illumination around outdoor living areas. The SOTTLOT SWL-83 solar wall lights switch on automatically at dusk and offer four brightness levels. With two fixtures in the set, you can create a coordinated look by a patio, garage or yard.

## Key points

Each light directs illumination both upwards and downwards, making the fixtures a decorative accent as well as a source of outdoor light. The 3000K colour temperature creates a warm-toned effect, while four brightness settings let you choose between a softer glow and a brighter setting. Lower settings can extend illumination time, giving you a practical way to balance light output with overnight use.

Solar charging and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation simplify everyday use: the panels charge during the day, then the lights come on when it gets dark. Their IP65 rating and weather-resistant construction suit outdoor locations such as fences, decks, porches, patios, garage doors, gardens and passages. Buyers commonly highlight the appearance, evening brightness and straightforward installation, opinions on value for money are mixed.

## Size & fit

The two wall-mounted fixtures measure 20.8 x 9.4 x 7 cm each. Their modern, dark grey design pairs naturally with outdoor walls and entry areas, while the up-and-down light pattern adds visual interest without relying on a separate decorative fixture. Use the pair to give two nearby spots a consistent look, such as a patio wall and a garage entrance.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Choose a mounting position where the solar panel receives direct sunlight during the day. Shade can reduce charging efficiency and shorten nighttime runtime, so an open, sun-facing location helps the lights make better use of daylight. The fixtures mount to a wall with the included screws and require no wiring or adapters.

To start operation, press and hold the button for more than two seconds. Select one of the four brightness modes to suit the area: a lower setting provides a gentler light and can help extend the time the fixture stays illuminated, while a higher setting gives a brighter effect. The lights are designed to charge during the day and turn on automatically at night, so there is no need to switch them on each evening.

## Practical questions

**Can I adjust the brightness?** Yes. Choose from four levels, ranging from a low setting to full brightness. The setting also affects runtime: lower brightness can keep the light on longer than a higher setting.

**Do the lights come on automatically after dark?** Yes. Their light-control function is designed to charge during daylight and turn on at dusk, then provide illumination through the night according to the selected mode and available solar charge.

**Where should I install them for effective charging?** Choose a location with long periods of direct sunlight and minimal shade on the solar panel. The lights are wall-mounted and can be used around areas such as a deck, patio, yard or garage.

## Buying verdict

The SOTTLOT SWL-83 set is a practical fit for anyone looking to add coordinated solar lighting without running wiring to an outdoor wall. Its warm 3000K up-and-down glow gives patios, garage entrances and garden walls a defined look, while the four brightness modes and automatic dusk-to-dawn operation make it easy to tailor the light to everyday use.
