SONGMICS Clothes Drying Rack ULLR506EQ01
Product description
When a laundry load needs to dry indoors or out, a compact rack can be more practical than draping clothes over chairs or waiting for outdoor space. This SONGMICS freestanding airer has adjustable top wings for items of different lengths, plus clips for lightweight laundry. It folds flat for storage, which is useful when the rack is only needed between loads. Its listed dimensions are 43 x 130 x 106 cm, so the available floor and storage space still matter.
Key specifications
The rack has 29 hanging rods and 27 clips, with two top wings that adjust to two heights. That gives you a few ways to separate a load: longer trousers or skirts can go on the raised wings, while smaller lightweight items can be secured with the clips. It is made with stainless steel tubes and plastic connectors, and the product description lists a maximum load capacity of 40 kg. Treat that figure as a maximum, not as an indication of how much weight each rod can hold, no per-rod limit is provided.
It is designed for indoor and outdoor use, and folds flat when you are done. Assembly is described as screw-free, with labelled parts and step-by-step instructions. The stated dimensions are worth considering before you buy, especially if the rack needs to fit in a narrow laundry area or be stored in a particular corner.
Who it’s for
It may suit you if you regularly air-dry a mix of clothing and smaller items, and want one freestanding rack that can be moved between the laundry room and patio. For example, you could hang shirts across the rods, use the adjustable wings for longer pieces, and clip lightweight socks up rather than leaving them loose on a surface. That flexibility is more useful than a basic straight airer when laundry varies from one load to the next.
It may not be the best choice if you need a very small rack that can stay open in a tight space, or if you expect a stated maximum load to mean every part can carry the same weight. The 40 kg figure is supplied without a breakdown of load distribution, so avoid assuming the rack is suited to a concentrated heavy load. Its dimensions also make it sensible to plan where it will stand and where it will go when folded.
Everyday use
The clips and multiple rods are intended to keep lightweight pieces and larger garments separate as they air-dry. The two wing heights offer some flexibility for differing garment lengths, though the description does not state a total drying area or the spacing between rods. If you usually dry only a few items, a simpler airer may take up less space, this model makes more sense when you expect to use its rods, clips and adjustable wings across a mixed load.
The frame is described as rust-resistant and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. That makes moving it to a patio an option, but it does not establish how it will hold up in every weather condition. Fold-flat storage helps when it is not in use, while the listed size means it still needs a suitable storage spot.
Before you decide
How many clips and rods does it have? The description lists 27 clips and 29 hanging rods.
Can the top wings change height? Yes. They have two height settings to accommodate different garment lengths.
Does assembly require screws? The product description says assembly is screw-free and includes labelled parts with step-by-step instructions.
Final verdict
Choose this SONGMICS rack if you want a movable airer with room for a mixed laundry load, adjustable wings and clips, and you have space for its stated dimensions. Its fold-flat design is useful for putting it away between uses, but it is not a substitute for a compact tabletop rack when storage space is the main priority. The unspecified load distribution is another reason to think about the kinds of items you plan to hang rather than relying on the maximum capacity alone.
