## Description

With a 0.8-inch cutting capacity and bypass blades made from SK5 high-carbon steel, the SnapFresh 4V electric pruning shears are designed for trimming shrubs, plants and branches around the yard. The included 4.0Ah battery is rated for 1,500+ cuts per charge on 0.5-inch branches, while the cordless format makes it easier to move between garden beds and work areas without managing a power cord.

An extra replacement blade is included, and the blade can be changed without tools. That practical setup helps keep routine pruning moving, whether you’re shaping shrubs or clearing small branches during regular yard work.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Use the shears for garden pruning up to their stated 0.8-inch maximum cutting diameter. They’re suited to everyday trimming of shrubs and plants, including wet branches. For a session involving several small cuts, the battery’s stated capacity of 1,500+ cuts on 0.5-inch branches gives you a useful reference point for planning the work.

The bypass blade style is intended for a clean cutting action, and the SK5 high-carbon steel blade is built for repeated pruning tasks. When a blade change is needed, the tool-free process lets you swap it without pausing to find a separate tool. The included extra blade is handy to have available as you continue working in the garden.

The shears use a double-click start, lock automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity and shut off after two minutes. These built-in controls support a more deliberate start and help manage idle time between pruning tasks. Customer feedback commonly praises the cutting, ease of use and battery life, opinions about durability are mixed.

## Why it’s worth it

Hand pruning can suit occasional snips or a small number of cuts, while powered shears are useful when the task involves repeated trimming across shrubs and plants. This SnapFresh model combines cordless operation with a stated cutting capacity of up to 0.8 inches, helping you work through everyday garden pruning without relying on hand pressure for each cut. Its tool-free blade change and included spare blade also make it straightforward to keep the pruning task moving.

## When it makes sense

These shears make sense for regular yard work where you want a powered tool for shrub shaping, plant care and branch trimming within the stated cutting capacity. For example, as you move around a patio garden or work along a row of shrubs, the cordless design lets you reposition easily, while the battery capacity is suited to a series of cuts in one session. If your priority is a compact pruning tool with a spare blade and a defined maximum cutting diameter, this model brings those practical features together for routine garden maintenance.
