## Description

HyperVelocity suction and a lightweight design help the Shark WS640C handle everyday floor and above-floor cleanups with less effort. Switch between stick, wand and hand-vacuum modes with one touch. Need to tidy a carpet and then reach a nearby surface? The convertible design makes it easy to move between those tasks.

## Why it makes sense

The WS640C combines cordless convenience with three ways to clean, so you can use it as a stick vacuum for floors, a wand for above-floor areas or a hand vacuum for smaller jobs. Its PowerFins brushroll maintains contact with carpets and directly engages floors, helping lift dirt and debris across different surfaces. A self-cleaning brushroll is designed to prevent hair wrap, a practical feature for homes where pet hair is part of the regular cleanup.

The product description also lists a charging and storage base, keeping the vacuum together between uses. For a quick pass over carpeted floors, hardwood or an area rug, the lightweight form and one-touch mode change make it straightforward to pick up and get started. A crevice tool is included for more focused cleaning.

## Key takeaways

This cordless Shark vacuum is built for indoor use and recommended for carpeted and hardwood floors, as well as pet-hair removal. It has one power level, push-button control and a 0.15-litre capacity. Its listed runtime is 17 minutes. The Blue Jean colour gives the unit a distinct look, while its 3-in-1 format offers more flexibility than a floor-only stick vacuum. Buyers often highlight its light feel, ease of use and usefulness for quick cleanups, feedback on battery life and size is mixed.

## Getting the most from it

Choose stick mode for routine floor cleaning, then switch to wand or hand-vacuum mode when the task moves above floor level or calls for a more compact setup. The included crevice tool can help direct cleaning into narrow spaces. This makes the WS640C useful for short, varied indoor jobs—for example, moving from a carpeted area to a hardwood floor, then using the hand-vacuum configuration for a small pickup. The charging and storage base provides a dedicated place to keep the vacuum between cleaning sessions.

## Practical questions

**Can it clean both carpets and hardwood floors?** Yes. It is recommended for carpeted and hardwood floors, and the PowerFins brushroll is designed for continuous contact with carpets and direct engagement with floors.

**How does the vacuum change between cleaning tasks?** It switches between stick, wand and hand-vacuum modes with one touch, allowing floor and above-floor cleaning with the same unit.

**What runtime is listed?** The listed runtime is 17 minutes. Buyer feedback on battery life varies, so the figure is a useful reference when planning a cleaning session.

## Final verdict

The Shark WS640C suits shoppers who want one cordless vacuum for quick floor pickups and above-floor tasks, rather than a stick vacuum limited to floors. Its three cleaning modes, PowerFins brushroll and hair-wrap-prevention design make it a practical fit for regular indoor tidying, including homes with carpets, hardwood and pet hair.
