## Description

For homes that need to clean both carpet and hard floors, the Shark PowerPro IZ370HC combines automatic floor detection with a multi-surface nozzle. It also suits everyday pet-hair pickup, thanks to a self-cleaning brushroll. Choose it for floor-to-floor cleaning without switching nozzles, a basic vacuum with a fixed brush setting may suit a single-floor routine, while this model adapts its brushroll speed to the surface.

## Usage tips
Use the PowerPro on carpet and hard floors, including hardwood, for routine indoor cleaning and pet hair removal. FloorDetect senses the floor type and adjusts brushroll speed automatically, so you can move between surfaces without changing nozzles. The PowerFins multi-surface nozzle maintains cleaning contact across those floor types, while the self-cleaning brushroll is designed to pick up pet hair without hair wrap.

For everyday messes, the cordless format lets you move around the home without managing a power cord. The included crevice tool and hand vacuum attachments help with narrower areas and handheld cleaning tasks. Up to 50 minutes of runtime supports longer cleaning sessions, this figure is measured at the hand vacuum in standard mode.

## Why it’s worth it
The main advantage is the combination of surface sensing and a multi-surface nozzle: you can move from carpet to hardwood without pausing to swap nozzles or manually adjust brushroll speed. That makes the IZ370HC a practical fit for homes with mixed flooring, rather than a routine focused on just one surface. Its self-cleaning brushroll also addresses a common part of pet-hair cleanup, while the cordless design helps you move between rooms.

The sealed HEPA filtration system is designed to capture and trap over 99.97% of dust and allergens, keeping them out of the air you breathe. This claim is based on ASTM F1977 for particles 0.3 microns and larger, allergens refer to non-living matter. Buyers often praise its cleaning performance and ease of use, while opinions differ on suction, weight, value and power, and some raise concerns about durability.

## Before you decide
**How does FloorDetect work?** It detects the floor type and automatically adjusts brushroll speed. The PowerFins nozzle is designed for both carpet and hard floors, so there is no need to switch nozzles between those surfaces.

**Is it suitable for homes with pets?** It is recommended for pet-hair removal, and its self-cleaning brushroll is designed to pick up hair without hair wrap. The crevice tool and hand vacuum attachments offer additional options for targeted cleaning.

**What does the 50-minute runtime refer to?** It is an “up to” figure measured at the hand vacuum in standard mode. The vacuum also uses HEPA filtration with Anti-Allergen Complete Seal to capture and trap over 99.97% of dust and allergens under the stated test conditions.

## Final verdict
The Shark PowerPro IZ370HC brings together automatic floor adjustment, a multi-surface nozzle, pet-hair pickup and sealed HEPA filtration in a cordless stick vacuum. It’s well suited to regular indoor cleaning in homes with a mix of carpet and hard flooring, especially when moving between surfaces without changing nozzles is a priority.
