## Description

## Pros

For checking mineral fluorescence in a collection or looking for pet-urine traces during a home clean, the Shadowhawk IT-S1479 brings a focused 365nm UV light into one rechargeable handheld flashlight. Its filter lens blocks 99% of visible light, helping fluorescent details stand out with less visible-light glare. A four-core LED design and a beam reach of up to 30 feet add practical reach for inspecting rocks, crevices and other areas where a close-up look is not convenient.

The built-in LCD shows remaining power, so it is easier to keep track of the charge while moving between tasks. Choose this style of UV light when fluorescence inspection is the priority, for everyday room lighting, a conventional flashlight serves a different purpose. The aluminum construction and included holster make the flashlight easier to carry and store between checks.

## Everyday use

For a household inspection, scan areas where a stain may be difficult to spot in ordinary light, such as around a pet’s usual resting place. The UV beam can help reveal fluorescent traces for a closer look. For mineral collecting, use it to examine rocks for visible fluorescence, with the filtered 365nm light intended to bring out that detail. It can also be used for resin curing, checking bank notes, locating golf balls and viewing scorpions or other insects, as described for the product.

The LCD power readout is useful when a session involves several areas or takes place away from a charging point: check the displayed charge as you work rather than relying only on a guess. Keep the supplied test cards with the flashlight for a convenient way to try out its UV light. Store the torch in its holster between uses, and use the lanyard when carrying it during an inspection.
