Rubie's 200191_S Disney Ariel Dog Costume, Small, Mermaid Tail, Shell Top and Wig

Some pet costumes are picked for a quick seasonal photo, others need to make a character instantly recognizable at a party. This Rubie's Disney Princess costume gives your dog Ariel's signature look for Halloween, birthdays, festivals and parades.

The outfit features a mermaid tail, shell top and wig, bringing the Little Mermaid theme together in one lightweight polyester costume. Its Ariel design makes a clear character statement for themed gatherings and photos.

This Small size is listed with a 12-inch neck and 17-inch chest. Compare those measurements with your dog's shape and the Rubie's pet size chart when choosing a fit, breed alone is not a reliable sizing guide.

At a glance

Made for dogs, this Ariel costume combines the mermaid-inspired tail with a shell top and wig. The lightweight polyester construction suits dress-up occasions such as Halloween, birthday celebrations, festivals, parades and parties. A hook-and-loop closure helps make putting the costume on and taking it off straightforward.

The Small size has a 12-inch neck and 17-inch chest measurement. Since costume shape and a pet's proportions both affect fit, use the measurements and Rubie's sizing guidance to select the size rather than relying only on breed. Buyers often praise the cute, recognizable appearance and ease of dressing, feedback on fit, quality and value is mixed, and some mention concerns about the wig and fastening durability.

Care tips

Hand wash the costume to care for its polyester fabric and Ariel details. After washing, let it dry before storing it with your pet's dress-up items so it is ready for the next themed occasion.

How to use it

Before dressing your dog, compare the 12-inch neck and 17-inch chest measurements with your pet's proportions and consult the Rubie's pet size chart. Avoid choosing by breed alone: individual body shape and the cut of a costume can affect how it sits. Once you have the size, position the costume comfortably and secure the hook-and-loop fastening. A brief fitting before a party or photo helps you check the placement of the tail, top and wig while your dog is wearing the outfit.

For a Halloween gathering, for example, the Ariel pieces create a coordinated character look without needing to assemble separate costume elements. It also suits birthday parties, festivals and parades where a clear Disney Princess theme adds to the occasion. It suits you if you're looking for a lightweight character costume for your dog and want the mermaid tail, shell top and wig in a single Ariel-themed design.

Final verdict

Rubie's Ariel costume is a distinctive choice for dog owners planning themed photos, Halloween or a party appearance. Its combination of recognizable Little Mermaid details, lightweight polyester and a hook-and-loop closure keeps the look focused and practical for dress-up occasions. Use the size measurements and the brand's sizing guidance to choose the Small for your pet's proportions, then hand wash it after use to keep it ready for another celebration.
