## Description

## The essentials

Measuring 41 x 35.3 x 10.1 centimetres, the roborock Q10 S5 combines vacuuming and mopping in one pass. Its 10,000 Pa HyperForce suction is designed to lift hair and debris from floor crevices and carpets, while the VibraRise 2.0 vibrating mop tackles stubborn dirt on hard floors.

The mop automatically lifts when the robot adjusts to carpet, helping it move between floor types as it cleans. A dual anti-tangle design pairs a JawScrapers Comb main brush with an anti-tangle side brush to help reduce hair buildup and routine brush maintenance.

## Everyday use

PreciSense LiDAR scans the room and creates maps to guide the robot along its cleaning route. It can remember multiple maps for different floors, making it easier to use in a multi-level home. ReactiveTech obstacle avoidance uses structured light to detect objects, and the app can suggest No-Go Zones for tricky areas such as under chairs and tables.

Control cleaning through the app or the robot’s buttons. The app offers a practical way to manage a cleaning session, while the robot’s combined vacuum-and-mop approach suits homes where floors include both carpet and hard surfaces. Buyers highlight ease of setup and cleaning performance, feedback is mixed on carpet detection and obstacle avoidance, so the navigation features are best understood as support for everyday room layouts rather than a reason to leave clutter in its path.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For app control, connect the robot to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. Before a run, pick up loose items that could obstruct its route, then use the app’s suggested No-Go Zones to mark areas you want it to avoid. This is especially useful around furniture where the robot may encounter tight spaces.

For homes with more than one floor, saved maps help the Q10 S5 recognize different layouts. Its auto-lifting mop is useful when a cleaning route crosses from hard flooring to carpet, while the vibrating mop is intended for hard-floor cleaning where dried-on dirt needs attention.

## Questions before you buy

**Can it vacuum and mop during the same run?** Yes. The Q10 S5 is designed to vacuum and mop in one pass, using its HyperForce suction alongside the VibraRise 2.0 vibrating mop. The mop lifts automatically as the robot adjusts to carpet.

**How does it map rooms and handle obstacles?** PreciSense LiDAR scans the room to create maps and plan routes, and the robot can remember multiple floor maps. ReactiveTech uses structured light to detect obstacles, while the app can suggest No-Go Zones for areas such as beneath chairs and tables.

**What Wi-Fi does app control require?** The robot supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for app control. It can also be operated using its onboard buttons.

## When it makes sense

The roborock Q10 S5 is a useful fit for households that want one robot to handle routine vacuuming and mopping across hard floors and carpets. Strong suction, a brush system designed to manage tangles, mapped navigation and an automatically lifting mop bring those jobs together in a single device. It’s a good fit if you want app-managed cleaning and have multiple floor types or levels to account for.
