## Description

Some rooms need a clearer sense of privacy, others still benefit from daylight. This frosted window film is designed to address both, softening incoming light while obscuring views through the glass.

Its static-cling, non-adhesive application makes it a practical choice for a changeable window covering. The film can be removed and reused, with no glue residue left on the glass.

At 90x200cm, it can be measured and trimmed to suit a window or glass door. Use it to bring a simple frosted finish to a bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, office or rental space.

## Why it makes sense

The frosted surface helps block unwanted views while allowing softened natural light into the room. That balance is useful in spaces where privacy matters but a fully covered window would make the area feel darker. It also filters UV rays and helps reduce glare from strong sunlight, supporting a more comfortable setting for working, studying or relaxing near a window. Filtering UV can also help reduce fading and ageing of furniture exposed to sunlight.

Because the film clings without adhesive, installation does not rely on glue, and it can be removed and repositioned for another use. Customers often highlight the straightforward installation, privacy and appearance, feedback on how well it stays in place is mixed, so careful preparation and application matter.

## The essentials

The film is made from PET and has a pure frosted finish. Its 90x200cm size provides material to measure and trim for the glass area you want to cover. The static-cling design is intended for flat, clean, smooth glass surfaces. It is not suited to plastic, broken or uneven surfaces, and the manufacturer advises against using it on double-pane windows exposed to strong sunlight for long periods.

For installation, clean the glass, measure and trim the film, then separate and remove its backing. Spray plenty of water on both the window and the film’s backing side before placing it on the glass. Smooth it from the centre out with a squeegee or card to press out water and air bubbles, keeping enough room at the edges helps them escape. This water-assisted method gives you time to position the film before smoothing it into place.

## Best use cases

Apply it to bathroom windows, bedroom glazing, kitchen glass or office windows where a frosted appearance can provide privacy without blocking all natural light. It can also suit a glass door or sidelight when you want to obscure direct views into the home. For example, a ground-level bathroom window can retain a brighter feel while making the room less exposed to outside sightlines. The frosted finish adds a simple decorative effect without relying on heavy window coverings.

## When it makes sense

Choose this format when you want a removable, reusable privacy treatment rather than a permanent adhesive finish, and when the glass is smooth enough for static cling. Its combination of view screening, softened daylight and glare and UV filtering makes it useful for everyday home or office windows. The trim-to-fit format also gives you flexibility to adapt the film to the glass area, while its removable design can be especially handy when your window treatment needs may change.
