PRUNUS J-03 Portable AM/FM Radio with Telescopic Antenna and AC or Battery Power
Product description
A radio kept mainly beside a wall outlet has different needs from one you want to carry outdoors. The PRUNUS J-03 is designed for both, with AC-adapter or battery power and a foldable handle. Its AM/FM tuning uses physical knobs and a large frequency scale. That makes it a straightforward choice for radio listening without a more feature-heavy setup.
Practical tips
Use the large tuning knob and frequency scale to find a station, then switch between AM and FM with the radio’s button. The analogue tuner keeps the controls direct, while the foldable handle makes it easier to move the radio from room to room or carry it to a park or on a road trip. For home listening, AC power is an option, battery power gives you another way to use it when an outlet is not convenient.
A 19.5-inch telescopic antenna is intended to support reception, and the radio is specified for FM at 87–108 MHz and AM at 520–1710 KHz. Reception can still depend on location and signal conditions, so the antenna does not guarantee a clear signal everywhere. The listed package component is an owner’s manual, the product details don’t specify whether an AC adapter or batteries are included.
Where it shines
The J-03 is aimed at simple listening to broadcasts, including music, news and talk. Its large tuning controls and readable scale may suit someone who would rather tune by hand than navigate menus. At home, it can be plugged in, when listening in another spot, its handle and battery-power option make moving it more practical than relying on a radio that stays in one place.
The speaker takes up a substantial part of the radio’s body, and a 3.5 mm headphone connection is listed for quieter listening. It makes sense if you want one portable radio for AM/FM broadcasts in more than one setting. It might not be a great match if the main requirement is access to listening formats beyond the two listed bands, within these limits, its appeal is uncomplicated tuning and flexible placement.
Key features
The PRUNUS J-03 combines an analogue AM/FM tuner with a large frequency scale and easy-to-turn tuning knobs. A DSP chip and telescopic antenna are specified as part of its reception setup. The large built-in speaker is intended for room-filling listening, while the headphone connection offers a more private alternative. Together, these details favour an accessible radio experience over a device built around a wider range of functions.
Power options are another practical distinction: the radio is described as working from an AC adapter or batteries. The product name refers to AA battery use, but the supplied battery quantity is not stated. Its foldable handle supports carrying, although the available details do not give a confirmed weight or dimensions consistently enough to use as a packing guide.

Buying verdict
Choose the PRUNUS J-03 if you want an AM/FM radio with tactile tuning, a large speaker, a carry handle and the flexibility to use AC or battery power. Its practical strength is moving between plugged-in home listening and portable use without changing how you tune stations. If your decision depends on included power accessories, battery quantity or exact portability measurements, those details are not confirmed in the product information.
