## Description

The backlit LCD makes measurements easier to read in dim workshop conditions, while a rechargeable battery keeps this Preciva digital caliper ready for regular use. Its 0–6 in/150 mm range suits a variety of measuring tasks, from DIY projects to workshop and automotive work.

Choose between millimetres, inches and fractions on the display to work in the format your project calls for. A thumb roller helps move the caliper smoothly, and the locking screw holds a measurement position as you work.

Need to take measurements where lighting or unit preferences change? The backlight and selectable readout make it straightforward to adapt the tool to the task.

## Quick overview

This digital caliper combines a 0–6 in/150 mm measuring range with a resolution of 0.0005 in/0.01 mm and stated accuracy of ±0.001 in/±0.03 mm. Switching among MM, IN and fractional display modes helps when plans, parts or measurements use different formats. Rather than reading graduations by eye, you can use the LCD to see the measurement directly.

The backlight supports easier viewing in low light. Automatic backlight and power-off functions help manage energy use, while the built-in 3.7V 60mAh lithium polymer battery is rechargeable. A 50-minute charge is stated to support up to three months of daily use. The kit includes the caliper, a storage case, a USB charging cable and a user manual.

## Getting the most from it

For consistent measuring, position the caliper around the part, slide the jaws with the thumb roller, then use the locking screw to hold the setting while you read the display. Select millimetres, inches or fractions to match the measurement format you are using. The stated resolution and accuracy make the tool suitable for work where a clear, precise dimensional reading is useful, including DIY, automotive and industrial tasks.

Its IP54 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, a practical feature for workshop environments. Keep the caliper in its storage case between jobs, and recharge it using the included USB cable when needed.

## Everyday use

The backlight is useful when measuring in a garage, workshop or other area with limited light, and the digital display keeps the reading visible while you focus on positioning the jaws. For example, when checking a component during a DIY repair, you can take the measurement, switch units if the project calls for a different format, and lock the setting for a steady reading.

Buyer feedback highlights the readable backlit display, the feel of the construction and the convenience of USB recharging. These comments reflect users’ impressions, the caliper’s practical appeal is its combination of a lit display, selectable measurement formats and rechargeable power in one portable tool.

## Final verdict

The Preciva digital caliper is a useful fit for DIYers and workshop users who want a direct digital measurement across a 0–6 in/150 mm range. Its backlit LCD, three readout formats, locking screw and rechargeable battery support practical measuring tasks, while the included case helps keep the tool together between projects.
