## Description

At 1-1/2 inches, the Plumb Pak PP55-5W is a white plastic elbow for sink drain piping, shaped to make a 90-degree turn. Its angled form helps route a drain connection where a straight section would not follow the required direction.

A 1-1/2-inch by 1-1/4-inch reducing washer is included, giving the fitting a practical way to connect between those sizes. The plastic construction and white finish suit under-sink drain work.

## Worth noting

This elbow combines a 90-degree turn with a 1-1/2-inch connection size. The included reducing washer steps down from 1-1/2 inches to 1-1/4 inches, which is useful when the drain arrangement needs to join those two sizes. That size change is part of the fitting’s purpose, rather than a separate adapter to source for this connection.

The product is made of plastic and has a white finish. Its listed thread type is NPT, and the product dimensions are 22.9 x 12.7 x 25.4 centimetres. One fitting is supplied. Easy-to-follow instructions are noted, helping make the connection process clearer during a sink drain repair or replacement.

## Tips for day-to-day use

Before fitting the elbow, match the drain layout to the 90-degree shape and check that the connection points correspond to the 1-1/2-inch size or the 1-1/4-inch size accommodated by the reducing washer. Following the included instructions helps guide assembly. Taking a moment to orient the elbow in the direction the drain route needs can make it easier to plan the connection beneath the sink.

For routine upkeep, keep the fitting accessible as part of the under-sink plumbing and check the connection area during ordinary cabinet inspections. This is a practical way to notice if the drain assembly needs attention without treating the elbow as a substitute for other parts of the sink drain system.

## Best use cases

The PP55-5W is intended for sink drain piping where the route needs a right-angle turn. For example, when the pipe needs to change direction beneath a sink, an elbow provides that bend in the fitting itself. The reducing washer is useful when the connection also needs to transition between 1-1/2-inch and 1-1/4-inch sizes.

Compared with a straight coupling, this elbow is the more relevant choice when the drain path needs to turn, a straight fitting is better suited to a direct run. Its plastic construction and white finish make it a straightforward choice for under-sink plumbing repairs or adjustments where those details suit the existing setup.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the Plumb Pak PP55-5W when your sink drain project calls for a 90-degree elbow in white plastic and a 1-1/2-inch connection, with a reducing washer for a 1-1/4-inch connection. It brings the turn and size transition together in one fitting, making it a useful part to consider when planning an under-sink drain connection.
