## Description

With a 10-foot extension cord, this One Beat power strip gives you more flexibility when the nearest wall outlet is across the room or behind furniture. Its three-sided layout combines eight AC outlets with four USB charging ports, so a desk, bedside table or dorm room can serve several plugged-in and USB-powered devices from one spot.

The low-profile flat plug is designed to sit close to the wall, while the widely spaced outlets help make room for larger adapters. For a setup that only needs a longer connection, a basic extension cord may be enough, this model is designed for people who also want more outlets, USB charging and surge protection together.

## Best use cases

Use it to organize power and charging around a home office, bedroom or dorm room. For example, place the strip near a desk to connect a computer and other AC-powered equipment, while charging a phone, tablet or Bluetooth earbuds through the USB ports. The 10-foot cord allows you to position the strip where devices are used rather than keeping everything crowded around the wall outlet.

Its flat plug is useful when the outlet sits behind a bed, desk or other furniture: the low-profile shape is intended to tuck close to the wall. The three-sided design and 2.2-inch spacing between AC outlets also give plugs more room, helping reduce crowding when several adapters are connected.

## Strengths

Four USB ports—two USB-C and two USB-A—provide direct charging connections without needing a separate USB wall adapter for each device. Smart charging detects connected devices, and the USB system has a total output of 5V/3.1A. Each USB-C port is rated up to 5V/3A, while each USB-A port is rated up to 5V/2.4A, the combined USB output remains 5V/3.1A.

The built-in surge protection is rated at 1080 joules. An overload protection function and on/off switch add practical power management, while an indicator light shows when surge protection is active. The manufacturer also describes overload, short-circuit, over-current, over-voltage and over-heating protection, with ETL and RoHS certification.

Buyers often highlight the number of available connections, convenient device organization and compact placement, including use beneath bedside tables. These comments reflect users’ impressions, the concrete appeal is the combination of AC outlets, USB charging and a long cord in one power strip.

## Should you buy it?

It makes sense if you want one power strip to serve a shared charging and plug-in area, rather than adding a separate USB charger alongside a simpler outlet extender. The long cord supports flexible placement, the spaced AC outlets accommodate larger adapters, and the mix of USB-C and USB-A ports covers common charging connections. For a desk, bedside setup or dorm room where several devices need power in the same area, the One Beat OB48AC2 brings those everyday connections together with 1080-joule surge protection.
