## Description

For video calls, music and gaming at a computer, the OHAYO Z1 brings stereo sound, a built-in microphone and a space-saving clip-on design to your monitor setup. Its G-sensor automatically adjusts the left and right audio channels when you move the speaker between the top and bottom of the monitor, helping keep stereo placement consistent.

Switch between USB and Bluetooth 5.3 with the mode button, and use the smooth volume wheel to adjust sound or turn the speaker on and off. Bluetooth playback still requires USB power, so the Z1 can keep a wireless audio connection without running on battery power.

## What matters most

With up to 16W output, dual magnetic drivers and a passive radiator, the Z1 is designed for clear, balanced audio across calls, videos, games and music. The built-in microphone has a pickup range of up to 1.5 metres, making it useful for online meetings and everyday computer communication. A single volume wheel keeps adjustments close at hand, while the G-sensor responds to whether the speaker is clipped above or below the display.

Five RGB lighting modes, including off, let you set the look of your desk. The audio-synced light bar adds a visual element when listening to music, and the adjustable brightness helps tailor the lighting to your workspace. At 3.8D x 20.7W x 7.5H centimetres and 280 g, the compact soundbar can also sit on a desk when clipping it to the monitor does not suit the setup. Buyers commonly praise its straightforward setup, easy connectivity and convenient mounting, alongside sound they find suitable for everyday computer use.

## Practical tips

Connect the speaker to a USB port for power in either mode, USB audio is available for computer use, while Bluetooth connects wirelessly to compatible devices. A USB-C adapter is included for supported connections. For monitor mounting, the clip is designed for non-curved screens up to 1 inch thick. The speaker can also be placed on a desk, keeping it close to the computer without taking up the space occupied by a pair of separate desktop speakers.

## Best use cases

The Z1 suits a home office, study area or gaming desk where a compact speaker and microphone can handle calls as well as everyday listening. Connect by USB for computer audio, or choose Bluetooth 5.3 for compatible laptops, smartphones and tablets, the stated Bluetooth range is up to 20 metres. Its clip-on format makes use of the monitor’s edge, while RGB modes add customizable lighting to a workstation. It is designed for computer use and is not compatible with TVs, TV boxes, Xbox, PlayStation or projectors.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the OHAYO Z1 if you want one compact speaker bar for computer audio, meetings and Bluetooth listening, with a built-in mic, easy-to-reach volume control and flexible placement. It brings useful everyday features together in a monitor-friendly design, with a desk-standing option when that better suits your workspace.
