## Description

The high-yield pairing of a 245XL black cartridge and a 246XL tri-colour cartridge keeps two everyday print needs together: clear black text and colour output. This replacement set is designed for printers that use Canon PG-245 XL and CL-246 XL cartridges.

With one black and one tri-colour cartridge in the pack, you can handle documents, assignments, invoices and colour pages without assembling a set from separate purchases. The cartridges use water-based ink and are intended for inkjet printing on plain paper.

The listed yields are up to 450 pages for black and 350 pages for tri-colour, based on 5% page coverage. Actual page counts vary with what you print and how much of each page is covered in ink.

## Key takeaways

This two-cartridge pack combines a 245XL black cartridge with a 246XL tri-colour cartridge. It is a compatible replacement for Canon PG-245 XL and CL-246 XL cartridges, so the relevant check is your printer’s cartridge series as well as its model name.

Compatibility includes selected Canon PIXMA TS, TR, MG, MX and iP models. Supported examples include the TS202, TS302, TS3120, TS3320 and TS3420, TR4520, TR4522 and TR4527, MG2520, MG2522 and MG2920, MX490 and MX492, and iP2820. The range also includes other models in these series, such as the TS3100, TS3300, MG2420, MG2922 and MG3020. Match your exact printer model to the compatibility list before ordering, particularly when models within a series have different numbers.

Buyer feedback is mixed. Some customers praise the ink quality and print results, while others report inconsistent reliability, colour output, compatibility or cartridge duration. Those experiences are worth weighing alongside the printer model and your typical printing needs.

## Care & maintenance

For installation, follow your printer’s cartridge prompts and avoid touching the cartridge chip or ink nozzles. Handling those areas carefully helps keep the contact points and ink outlets clear during fitting. Once installed, use the printer’s regular inkjet printing process for plain-paper documents and colour pages.

## Best use cases

This set suits routine home, study and small-office printing when both black and colour ink are useful. Use the black cartridge for text-heavy work such as forms, invoices and written assignments, the tri-colour cartridge supports colour printing for study materials and images. The separate cartridge types make the pack a practical way to replenish both types of ink together, rather than choosing only a black or only a colour replacement.

It’s a good fit if your printer is one of the listed PIXMA models and you want a compatible replacement pair in the 245XL and 246XL format. For someone who prints mostly black text, a black-only replacement may better match the immediate need, this combo is aimed at households or workspaces that also print in colour.

## Before you decide

**Which printers can use these cartridges?** They are listed for selected Canon PIXMA TS, TR, MG, MX and iP models, including the TS3120, TR4520, MG2522, MX492 and iP2820. Check the exact printer model against the compatibility list, as the series name alone may not identify the cartridge required.

**What is in the pack?** The pack contains one 245XL black cartridge and one 246XL tri-colour cartridge. They are replacement cartridges corresponding to Canon PG-245 XL and CL-246 XL.

**How many pages can they print?** The stated yield is up to 450 pages from the black cartridge and up to 350 from the tri-colour cartridge, measured at 5% page coverage. Page coverage affects the actual number of pages you can print.

## Is it worth it?

For a compatible PIXMA printer that needs both black and colour ink, this paired set brings the two cartridge types together and provides stated yields for planning everyday printing. It is especially useful for homes, students and small workspaces that alternate between text documents and colour pages, with the exact printer model as the key compatibility check.
