## Description

## Practical tips

The adjustable boom arm helps position a microphone at a comfortable height and angle, whether you’re setting up for singing, podcast recording or a stage performance. The stand adjusts from 59 cm to 191.5 cm, and the arm rotates 360° horizontally and up to 180° vertically, giving you room to tailor the setup to your position.

For a straight-up configuration, remove the boom arm. Use the three cable clips to guide microphone cables along the stand, and pack the collapsed stand in its carrying bag when moving between locations. The included adapter converts the stand’s 3/8" screw to 5/8", the top of the stand and the boom arm both have 3/8" screws.

## Strengths

The MS046 combines a height-adjustable tripod with a boom that can be repositioned or removed. That gives you the flexibility to place a microphone in front of you, above an instrument or in another position a straight stand may not reach as conveniently. When the arm is removed, the stand can serve as a straight microphone stand instead.

Load capacity varies with the configuration: the stand supports up to 2 kg vertically, while the boom arm supports 200 g to 1 kg depending on how far it is extended. Keeping the microphone’s weight and the arm extension in mind helps you choose a suitable position for your setup.

The two included holder clamps offer practical options for securing a microphone, while the cable clips help keep the cable routed along the stand. The 3/8" to 5/8" adapter broadens mounting options for microphones with a matching connection. Listed compatible microphones include the Blue Yeti, Shure SM58 and SM48, Samson Q2U and ATR2100x-USB.

For a home recording session, for example, set the stand to a comfortable height, swing the boom into position and route the cable through the clips. For transport between recording spaces or stage setups, collapse the stand to 59 cm and use the included carrying bag.

## Should you buy it?

Choose the NEEWER MS046 if you want one floor stand that can work with a boom arm or as a straight stand, with adjustable height for different recording and performance positions. Its rotating arm, included mounting accessories and carrying bag make it a practical fit for singers, podcasters and musicians who need a configurable microphone setup at home, in the studio or on the move.
