## Description

For listeners looking for a portable speaker for home, travel or outdoor listening, the Monster S290 brings wireless audio and practical wired options together in one compact format.

Its 30W stereo output suits music, gaming and video, while Bluetooth 6.0 lets you stream from a phone, tablet or laptop.

For added flexibility, connect a second speaker with TWS pairing, use AUX or a TF card, and take advantage of IPX6 protection for listening around splashes and outdoor activities.

## Key takeaways

The S290 combines 30W maximum output with stereo sound, giving music and video playback a dedicated speaker rather than relying on a phone or laptop’s built-in audio. Bluetooth 6.0 supports wireless streaming, and TWS pairing lets you link two compatible S290 speakers for stereo separation or a fuller listening setup. This makes it easy to keep one speaker for everyday use or build a paired setup when you want sound from two positions.

There are options beyond Bluetooth, too. Connect through AUX or play audio from a TF card, choosing the source that suits the device or listening situation. A built-in microphone supports hands-free calling, so the speaker can also be useful when a call comes in while you’re listening.

## How it fits

Use Bluetooth to stream from a phone, tablet or laptop, or choose AUX or a TF card for wired and card-based playback. The tabletop design works well on a desk, counter or patio table, while the portable format makes it practical to move between rooms or pack for a trip. Compared with a speaker that stays in one fixed listening spot, the S290 offers more flexibility for shifting your music between home and outdoor settings.

IPX6 water protection is suited to listening where splashes or sweat may be part of the setting, such as by the pool or during outdoor activities. Keep the speaker handy for a backyard gathering, then move it indoors for music or video. Type-C charging makes recharging straightforward, and the supplied audio cables, USB-C cable, quick start guide and warranty card help you get started.

## Who it’s for

The S290 is a practical fit for people who want one portable speaker for music at home, travel and outdoor use, with the choice of wireless streaming or AUX and TF-card playback. It also suits listeners who value a hands-free microphone for calls or want the option to pair two speakers for a wider stereo arrangement. Its tabletop format makes it easy to place within reach during work, relaxation or a gathering, without tying the speaker to one room.

## Is it worth it?

Choose the Monster S290 if you want 30W stereo sound in a portable speaker that can handle several listening setups. Bluetooth 6.0 covers everyday wireless streaming, while TWS, AUX and TF-card support give you alternatives as your setup changes. IPX6 protection adds useful flexibility for outdoor listening, and the built-in microphone brings hands-free calls into the mix. It’s a versatile choice for moving between home and travel without changing how you play your audio.
