The Maestri House S2 also combines weighing with a built-in timer, keeping two useful brewing tools together on the counter. Its compact format is designed to fit on most espresso machines and small pour-over stands. The rechargeable USB-C design and included silicone pad add practical details for everyday brewing and storage. Choose between automatic and manual timing modes, and switch among grams, ounces and millilitres. The scale is made for coffee preparation, with a borosilicate glass top and touch-sensitive controls. ## Who it’s for This coffee scale suits home brewers who want to measure coffee and track brew time in one place. For espresso, the 0.1 g readout lets you weigh a dose and monitor the amount in the cup, for pour-over, the timer helps keep track of the brewing process while you add water. Its compact size is useful when counter space is limited or when you want a scale that is easy to store between brews. It can also work well for coffee lovers who take their brewing setup outdoors. If you currently use a separate kitchen scale and timer, the S2 brings both functions together in a small coffee-focused format. You’ll like it if you value clear measurements and timing controls without adding another device to your brewing routine. ## Benefits Pairing a scale and timer makes it easier to follow a brewing method from dose to pour. Automatic and manual timing options let you choose how to track the process, while the tare function supports weighing ingredients in a container without including the container’s weight. Three measurement units—g, oz and ml—give you flexibility when following different recipes. The rechargeable design uses USB-C, so charging is part of the regular setup rather than a need to replace batteries. It enters sleep mode after five minutes of inactivity to save power, and the stated standby life is up to 90 days on a charge. A detachable silicone pad helps protect the surface beneath the scale and provides a slip-resistant layer during use. Customer feedback often appreciates the scale’s convenience, compact size and timer. Opinions are mixed on accuracy and battery life, and some buyers raise durability concerns. The S2’s documented features make its intended role clear: precise coffee measurements and brew timing in a portable format. ## Key features The scale has a maximum capacity of 2,000 g and a stated accuracy of 0.1 g, with a measuring range from 0.5 g to 2,000 g. Its LED display sits beneath a borosilicate glass surface, with touch-sensitive controls for a streamlined top. The glass and ABS construction bring together a smooth working surface and a lightweight, compact design. The included components are the coffee scale, user manual, detachable silicone pad and USB-C charging cable. The scale is black and measures 10.49 x 10.49 x 1.98 cm. For day-to-day care, the glass top is designed for easy cleaning, the removable pad can be taken off separately. ## Practical questions **What can the scale measure?** It measures from 0.5 g to 2,000 g, with a stated readout accuracy of 0.1 g.
