Loiion Dog Car Bed 50 x 24.6 in

For dog owners who want a padded spot for their pet on car journeys, this Loiion mat combines a soft flannel cover, foam padding and a waterproof lining. Its listed dimensions are 50 x 24.6 x 2 inches, so the fit depends on the space available across your vehicle’s back seat.

One detail matters: despite “backseat extender” in the product name, the listing says this is a mat, not an extender. It won’t add a platform to bridge a gap between seats.

Technical details

The mat uses egg-crate foam beneath a flannel layer, with 2 inches of padding. That gives a dog a defined resting surface without the bulk of a thicker bed, which may suit car use when keeping the seating area relatively stable is a priority. The listing positions it for dogs who need a softer place to settle, including older dogs or those with hip issues, but it doesn’t provide a weight limit or details about the foam’s firmness.

A waterproof inner lining is intended to help protect the bed and car seats from spills or accidents. The cover has a hidden zipper and is removable for washing. The listing specifies a cold machine wash at 30°C with gentle detergent, no bleach, and drying below 40°C without ironing. The mat arrives compressed and may take 48 hours to regain its shape.

Compatibility in practice

The product is described for SUVs, sedans and trucks, and can also be used on a sofa or as a picnic blanket. Those are broad use cases, not a guarantee of fit in every vehicle. Measure the usable seat area and compare it with the mat’s footprint, allowing for seat contours and any space needed for passengers. For example, if your dog settles across the back seat while you drive to an appointment, the mat provides a padded surface, it does not create extra seating area or secure the dog in place.

The non-slip backing is intended to improve grip, but a mat alone is not a restraint. If your priority is keeping a dog secured while the vehicle is moving, you’ll need to consider that separately. Te encaja si you’re looking for a removable, padded surface that can move between the car and home. Quizá no encaja si you specifically need a rigid back-seat bridge or a way to restrain your dog.

Usage tips

Before a trip, lay the mat flat and check that it sits within the available seat area without interfering with seat belts or other parts of the vehicle. Give the compressed foam time to expand before judging its shape. For a muddy-paw return journey, removing the cover for washing should make routine cleanup easier, follow the stated care instructions rather than treating the whole bed as machine-washable. The listing describes the backing as anti-slip, but doesn’t say it replaces a harness or other travel restraint.

Before deciding

This is a comfort and seat-protection purchase, rather than a full car-seat conversion. The stated 2-inch thickness is a modest profile for vehicle use, while a deeper bed or purpose-built extender would be a different choice for shoppers seeking more height or a bridge over the footwell. The listing also doesn’t give a vehicle-specific fit chart, so compare the measurements with your own back seat instead of relying only on the broad vehicle categories.

Before buying
