## Description

## Usage tips
For PC and Mac gamers who want wireless control with easy access to custom commands, the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED puts 13 programmable controls within reach. Its LIGHTSPEED wireless connection keeps the setup free of a mouse cable, while the HERO 44K sensor is designed for precise tracking. Set up the reversible, removable DPI-shift button to suit your grip and thumb reach. The dual-mode scroll wheel also lets you switch between fast free-spinning and precise ratcheting control.

In play, assign frequently used actions to the buttons you can reach most naturally, then use the scroll wheel’s left and right tilt for additional inputs. When a game calls for a different level of pointer sensitivity, the adjustable DPI-shift button makes it easier to change your control configuration around your hand position. USB-C and wireless charging capability add charging options for a rechargeable setup.

## Pros
LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches pair optical speed with a mechanical feel, bringing responsive input to a design intended for extended gaming sessions. The HERO 44K sensor offers sub-micron accuracy without smoothing, filtering or acceleration, so its tracking is focused on precise movement. Together, these features suit games where quick actions and controlled aim both matter.

The G502 X LIGHTSPEED offers a different approach from a wired mouse: wireless connectivity and a broad set of programmable controls in one device. Its 13-button layout gives players room to put preferred commands close at hand, while the scroll wheel’s free-spin and ratcheting modes serve different navigation needs. The wheel also tilts left and right for extra inputs, making it useful beyond the main buttons.

## Worth noting
The mouse carries forward the G502 design with updated gaming technology. Its controls are programmable, and the DPI-shift button can be reversed or removed to better match your grip and thumb reach. That adjustability is useful when you want a particular button position rather than adapting your hand to a fixed layout.

For a practical setup, choose a button configuration that keeps your most-used commands accessible and select the scroll mode that fits the task: free spin for rapid movement through long content, or ratcheting for more deliberate steps. The optical movement detection and LIGHTSPEED wireless connection also make the mouse suitable for a laptop or desktop gaming station.

## Before you decide
**What does the dual-mode scroll wheel do?** It switches between a free-spinning mode for fast scrolling and a ratcheting mode for more precise, stepped control. The wheel can also tilt left and right to provide additional inputs.

**Can the controls be customized?** Yes. The mouse has 13 programmable controls, and its DPI-shift button is reversible and removable so its placement can suit your grip and thumb reach.

**What makes the switches different?** LIGHTFORCE hybrid switches combine optical speed with a mechanical feel, designed to provide responsive input for gaming.

## Is it worth it?
It suits you if you want a wireless gaming mouse that brings precise HERO 44K tracking together with programmable controls, configurable DPI-shift placement and a versatile scroll wheel. The G502 X LIGHTSPEED is especially practical for players who want commands close to hand and prefer to tailor their mouse setup to their grip and play style.
