## Description

The Logitech G Astro A50 X has an over-ear format designed for immersive gaming sessions. PLAYSYNC lets you switch audio and video between connected gaming systems using on-headset controls. Its HDMI 2.1 passthrough supports 4K at 120 Hz, bringing high-resolution video and game audio into one setup. LIGHTSPEED wireless and Bluetooth also let you mix console audio with a phone connection.

## Tech summary

- Weight: 363 g

## Requirements
The A50 X supports Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and PC. Console and computer connections require a USB port. HDMI cables are required for the full experience, and HDMI 2.1-certified cables are needed for optimal video passthrough. PC support includes Windows 10/11 or later, while Mac support starts with macOS 13. Internet access is required for G HUB, the Logitech G Mobile App, and Dolby Atmos on Xbox and Windows.

## Getting the most from it
PLAYSYNC is useful when your gaming moves between systems: switch audio and video from the headset rather than treating each platform as a separate listening setup. The HDMI 2.1 passthrough supports high-resolution console play, while the graphene drivers are designed to help distinguish in-game sounds by location and timing. For a shared gaming and phone setup, LIGHTSPEED can handle console audio while Bluetooth connects a phone for chat, so both sources can be heard at once.

The headset can be returned to its magnetic Base Station dock for wireless charging, and Logitech G HUB and the mobile app provide controls for a 10-band parametric EQ, microphone settings, noise reduction and stream output mixing. These options make it easier to tailor audio and mic settings to different games or communication needs. Buyers often praise the sound, though feedback on audio quality is not uniform, opinions also vary on comfort, connectivity and setup.

Compared with keeping separate headsets or manually changing audio connections between platforms, the A50 X brings multi-system switching, wireless listening and phone audio mixing into one headset setup. Its controls and app settings offer practical ways to manage a gaming session without giving up access to a second audio source.

## Final verdict
For players who move between supported consoles and PC, the A50 X combines PLAYSYNC switching with HDMI 2.1 passthrough, LIGHTSPEED wireless and Bluetooth mixing. The magnetic charging dock and app-based audio controls round out a setup suited to multi-platform gaming, whether the priority is changing systems quickly or staying connected to a phone while playing.
