LIFELONG 1122BB Office Chair Casters, 3-Inch Black Swivel Wheels, Set of 5

Some workspaces need floor protection, while others need a chair that moves freely across different surfaces. The LIFELONG 1122BB replacement casters are designed for smooth, multi-surface rolling. Their 3-inch wheels swivel to help you move around your desk without relying on a chair mat.

What to know

This set includes five black swivel casters made with steel, rubber and polyurethane. The combination gives you replacement wheels built for everyday chair movement, with a listed load capacity of 294 kg. They’re intended for hardwood, wood, laminate, vinyl, tile and carpet, making them a practical choice when a chair needs to move between floor types.

For a home office or a shared workspace, replacing worn casters can help restore easy movement around a desk. The wheels are also positioned as a chair-mat alternative, with a design intended to roll across common floor surfaces while helping protect them. Buyers often highlight the smooth, quiet movement, including on carpet, and describe installation as straightforward. These are customer impressions rather than a measure of performance, but they point to the everyday convenience many people look for in replacement chair wheels.

Tips for day-to-day use

Before ordering, compare the stem on your current chair wheels with the casters’ 7/16-inch x 7/8-inch stem size. This is the key fit detail for a stem-mounted replacement. The wheels are described as compatible with most rolling office chairs, but they are not compatible with IKEA chairs. Matching the stem size helps you choose a set suited to your chair rather than relying on a general “universal fit” description alone.

Once fitted, the swivel design supports changes in direction as you move between your desk, storage and nearby work areas. The multi-surface recommendation makes the set suitable for workspaces where the chair may roll over more than one flooring type.

How to use it

Use these casters to replace the wheels on a compatible office chair. Check that the stem dimensions match your chair’s wheel sockets, then install the five casters in place of the existing wheels. The manufacturer identifies the mounting type as stem mount and gives the stem size as 7/16 inch x 7/8 inch. With all five wheels fitted, the chair can roll and turn around your workspace without a floor mat.

The 3-inch wheel diameter and swivel action are useful when you regularly shift position at a desk or move the chair between nearby tasks. For example, in a home office with hardwood beside a carpeted area, the multi-surface design is intended to support movement across both. If your main priority is a chair mat rather than changing its wheels, that remains a different approach, this set is for replacing chair casters.
