Best use cases
Use the detector when arriving at a hotel room, checking an office or looking over a vehicle for concealed devices. RF scanning is intended to locate wireless signals, infrared scanning helps check for hidden cameras, and magnetic detection is designed to find GPS trackers. The flashlight adds a practical way to illuminate an area during an inspection. These functions make the S500 useful for people who want a portable check rather than a fixed security installation.
Usage tips
Select a sensitivity level suited to the surroundings, then move the detector through the area you want to check. Use the beep when an audible alert is appropriate, or switch to vibration for a more discreet check. For a thorough room inspection, scan likely device locations and use the infrared and magnetic detection modes as well as RF scanning, each mode addresses a different type of concealed device. Recharge the 800mAh battery as needed. A full charge is listed at approximately 2.5 hours, with up to 25 hours of working time or 30 days on standby.
