## Description

For a music-focused evening, a live concert on screen offers a different experience from simply putting on music in the background. John Kay & Steppenwolf – Live in Louisville brings the performance format into your DVD collection. It is presented on one colour DVD-Video disc, with Dolby audio and English-language content.

## Practical tips

Set up a DVD-Video player and display for watching the concert, and make sure your playback equipment supports the NTSC format. The disc is listed as Dolby, so use an audio setup suited to your preferred way of listening, whether that is through your television or connected sound equipment. Keeping the disc with your other music DVDs makes it easy to find when you want a concert to watch rather than music playing out of view.

This format suits a planned viewing session: settle in, put on the disc and follow the performance on screen. It also gives music fans a physical concert title to add to a DVD collection. If your main need is audio to accompany another activity, a listening-only format may fit that routine better, this release is centred on a live video experience.

## Strengths

The title brings John Kay and Steppenwolf together in a live concert release, with Louisville identified in the title. That makes it a straightforward choice for fans looking for a performance presentation by these artists, rather than a general music compilation. The DVD-Video format provides a familiar way to watch on compatible equipment, while the colour presentation and Dolby format describe the disc’s video and audio formats.

Its single-disc format keeps the viewing setup simple: one disc holds the release, with no multi-disc set to manage. The English-language presentation is useful for viewers who want the performance in English. Taken together, these details make the disc suited to personal viewing or a shared music night at home, especially when the goal is to watch a concert rather than choose music by individual tracks.

## What to know

This is a Music Video & Concerts release in DVD-Video format. It is listed as colour, NTSC and Dolby, and contains one disc. For playback, use equipment that supports DVD-Video and NTSC, the viewing experience also depends on having a screen and sound setup connected to your player. These format details help you decide whether the disc fits the equipment and viewing habits you already use.

The release is in English and is identified as a live performance by John Kay and Steppenwolf. Its title specifies Louisville, making the location part of the release’s identity. The format details describe how it is presented, while the title and performers help distinguish it from other concert DVDs in a music collection.

## When it makes sense

Choose this DVD when you want a screen-based concert featuring John Kay and Steppenwolf, and your setup is ready for DVD-Video playback in NTSC. It is particularly relevant for fans building a physical collection of live music releases or planning a focused concert-viewing session at home. Rather than serving as an unspecified playlist for background listening, it offers a named performance on a colour DVD-Video disc with Dolby audio. That combination makes it a practical fit for viewers who want the concert experience as the main event.
