Compatibility
The chair is designed to adapt as a child grows, with five footrest positions and a removable tray for feeding. Its stated use extends from 6 months through adulthood, including as a traditional dining chair or a study seat. Compared with a high chair intended only for the early feeding stage, this convertible format is designed to stay useful for a wider range of ages and activities.
A five-point harness and skid-resistant feet support a stable seated setup for mealtimes and messy play. Secure the harness when seating a child, and position the chair on a suitable floor surface before use.
How to use it
Set the chair up for the activity: attach the tray for feeding, or remove it when using the chair as a dining or study seat. Adjust the footrest to one of its five positions as needed, then seat the child and fasten the harness. The removable, BPA-free tray is dishwasher safe, helping simplify cleanup after meals. The white waterproof seat cover is designed to repel spills and wipe clean.
The frame is described as tool-free to assemble and folds for storage or transport. That can be useful in a compact kitchen: unfold the chair for a meal, then fold it away when the space is needed for another activity. Buyers also praise the seat’s comfort and sturdiness, and mention that its parts come apart easily for cleaning and maintenance.
Practical questions
Can the chair be used beyond the baby stage? It is designed to convert from an infant feeding station into a traditional dining chair or study seat, with a stated age range from 6 months to adulthood and support for up to 240 lbs.
How can the tray be cleaned? The detachable double tray is described as dishwasher safe. Removing it also makes it easier to wipe down the seating area after meals.
Does the chair fold for storage? Yes. Its foldable frame is intended to make storage and transport more convenient, including in compact kitchens.
Buying verdict
For families looking for more than a short-term feeding seat, the Ihoming combines a removable, dishwasher-safe tray with adjustable footrest positions and a foldable frame. Its conversion to a dining or study chair gives it practical use as a child grows, while the harness and skid-resistant feet support everyday mealtimes and play.
