## Description

## Benefits
Some households need a quick temperature check at the appliance, others want to know when readings move outside a set range, even when they are elsewhere. The GoveeLife H5111 brings remote monitoring and local alerts together for a fridge or freezer. Its sensor sends temperature information through the included gateway to the app. Set a range and receive app notifications, email alerts and a buzzer alarm if the temperature goes beyond it.

The sensor measures across -40°F to 158°F, with ±0.9°F accuracy and a 2-second response time. That makes it useful for keeping an eye on changing conditions in food storage without relying on occasional manual checks. For example, a household can set an alert range for a freezer and receive a notification if the reading crosses it, rather than discovering the change during the next visit.

The gateway supports up to 10 sensors within a range of up to 230ft, so the system can be expanded to monitor several fridges, freezers or rooms. This set includes one sensor and a gateway. Two years of free data storage lets you review recorded temperature information, while the sensor’s magnetic back and included hanging option give you flexibility when positioning it. The ultra-thin probe cable is designed to fit along a fridge seal, and an included holder helps keep the cable tidy.

Buyers describe the thermometer as functional and appreciate the reassurance of freezer monitoring. Feedback is mixed on setup, connectivity, temperature monitoring and alarms, so experiences can vary. The app, gateway and audible alarm offer different ways to keep track of readings, with settings available to adjust the buzzer.

## Quick overview
The H5111 uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and its gateway requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, 5 GHz Wi-Fi is not supported. The gateway links the sensor to remote monitoring, while the buzzer can provide an alert at the device. Its alarm is muted by default, so set the buzzer volume in the device settings if you want an audible alert. When it sounds, press the side button to silence it.

The package includes two AAA batteries and a user manual. The sensor’s magnetic back attaches to a metal surface, and a lanyard supports hanging it from a hook. Its probe holder can be secured with the included adhesive, making it easier to position the probe and manage its cable near the appliance.

## Care & maintenance
The sensor is freezer-safe and can be wiped clean. For day-to-day use, position the probe where you want to monitor the temperature and arrange its cable neatly with the holder. Keep the gateway and sensor within the supported range for a reliable connection, allowing for the effect of obstacles. A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection is needed for gateway access to the app.

## Should you buy it?
Choose the GoveeLife H5111 if you want more than an on-the-spot reading: it combines a fast-response temperature sensor with remote app and email alerts, a local buzzer and stored readings. It is especially useful for households that want to monitor freezer or refrigerator temperatures while away from the appliance, or centralize readings from multiple locations by adding compatible sensors. The included gateway makes remote monitoring part of the setup, while the magnetic back, hanging option and probe holder help accommodate different placement needs.
