## Description

## Technical overview

The adjustable silicone straps are designed to sit below the kneecap and provide targeted support around the patellar tendon. A hook-and-loop closure lets you adjust the fit, while the silicone construction offers a compact alternative to a larger knee brace when you want support focused on this area. The grey straps are suitable for adults and come as a two-pack, so you have a pair for your activity routine.

They’re intended for activities such as running, basketball, hiking, soccer, tennis and volleyball, as well as everyday movement like walking or climbing stairs. The focused strap format keeps support centred around the patellar tendon rather than covering the whole knee.

Buyer feedback highlights support and pressure relief, including during walking. Experiences with fit and comfort vary, and some buyers report durability concerns, so it’s worth paying attention to how the strap sits and feels during use.

## Who it’s for

This pair is designed for adults looking for adjustable support around the patellar tendon during sports or daily activities. The product is described for concerns including patellar tendonitis, jumper’s knee and Osgood-Schlatter disease. Its narrow, targeted design may suit someone who prefers a patellar strap over a bulkier brace, particularly for movement where support beneath the kneecap is the focus.

For example, a runner can position the strap below the kneecap before heading out, then adjust the hook-and-loop closure to set a comfortable fit. The same format can be used for basketball, hiking or routine walks. The strap is a support accessory, it does not establish a diagnosis or replace care from a qualified health professional.

## Practical tips

Position the strap just below the kneecap, over the patellar tendon, and adjust the closure so it feels secure without being uncomfortable. Check its position before starting an activity that involves repeated movement, such as running or jumping. If you wear the straps for different activities, adjust the fit for each use rather than assuming the same tension will feel right every time.

Hand wash the straps as directed, then let them dry before storing them with your sports or walking gear. The two-piece set is useful for keeping a pair together for regular activity or having a second strap available when needed.

## Practical questions

**What activities are these straps designed for?** They’re listed for running, basketball, hiking, soccer, tennis and volleyball, and can also be used during everyday activities such as walking and stair climbing.

**How do you adjust the fit?** Each strap uses a hook-and-loop closure. Position it below the kneecap and adjust the closure to achieve a secure, comfortable fit.

**How should the straps be cleaned?** Hand wash them, following the stated care instructions.

## When it makes sense

Choose the GOUNOD B004 pair when you want adjustable, focused support below the kneecap for sports or everyday movement. Its silicone strap design, hook-and-loop fit and two-piece format make it a practical option for adults who prefer targeted patellar support over a full-knee brace.
