Goodpick White Cotton Rope Laundry Hamper with Handles, 16 x 20 Inches
Product description
A laundry basket chosen mainly for capacity and a firm, upright shape serves a different purpose from a soft basket that can double as room storage. The Goodpick is made from cotton rope, with a white woven finish, two handles and a wooden bead tassel. Its listed size is 16 x 20 inches, and it is intended for laundry as well as towels, blankets, pillows and toys.
That mix of storage and décor makes it easy to place in a bedroom, living room, laundry room or playroom. It can sit beside a chair for blankets or hold laundry near the washing area, the handles are there to help move it around the home.
What to know
The woven cotton-rope construction gives this hamper a softer feel than a rigid wicker or rattan basket. That may suit a home where it will be handled around children or pets, while the neutral white colour and wooden bead detail help it look at home outside the laundry room. It is a practical alternative to a basic laundry bin when you also want a basket for cushions, toys or spare blankets.
The product dimensions are also listed as 38L x 38W x 51H centimetres. There is no stated capacity in litres, so the description’s claim that it can hold a week’s clothes is best treated as a general indication rather than a fit guarantee, laundry loads vary. Buyers often praise its size, appearance and carry handles, while some say the basket can lose its shape or become creased over time. A few also mention an unpleasant odour, so those reports are worth keeping in mind if you are sensitive to smells.
How to look after it
The basket is shipped folded. The product information suggests filling it with towels or blankets to help it regain its shape, and says ironing may also help. When it is not needed, it can be folded flat for storage. Since no detailed washing instructions are provided, avoid assuming that it is machine washable, check the product’s care guidance before cleaning it.
Who it’s for
It suits you if you want one soft-sided basket for laundry and occasional household storage, with handles for carrying it between rooms and a finish that can work as part of the décor. For example, it could hold towels in a bathroom or blankets beside an accent chair, then carry clothes to the laundry area when needed. Compared with a more rigid hamper, this design is easier to fold away, but that flexibility may be less appealing if keeping a consistently upright shape is your main priority. Not the best choice if a reliably rigid form is essential.
Before you decide
What can it hold? The listed uses include clothes, towels, blankets, pillows and toys. It can also be used for other household items, though the product does not specify a weight limit.
Does it arrive ready to use? It is folded for shipping, so it may need filling with towels or blankets to help it recover its shape. The product information also mentions ironing as an option.
Can it be put away between uses? Yes. The basket can be folded flat when it is not in use, which may help if you want to store it rather than leave it out.
Is it worth it?
The Goodpick makes sense when you want a cotton-rope hamper that can also serve as visible room storage, and its handles and fold-flat design offer useful flexibility around the home. Its decorative finish is part of the appeal, but the buyer feedback about shape retention makes it a less certain fit for anyone who expects a basket to stay perfectly upright over time. Choose it for flexible, multi-room storage, look to a more structured style if maintaining its shape matters more than folding it away.
