## Description

On DVD, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire brings the Spengler family and the original Ghostbusters together for a feature-length adventure set in New York City. Its bilingual format makes it a natural fit for a home movie collection.

An ancient artifact unleashes an army of ghosts and threatens the city with a second Ice Age. The Spenglers team up with the original crew to protect their home and stop the supernatural threat.

Choose this DVD for a planned movie night and a physical copy to keep on the shelf, choose a digital format when flexible access is the priority. The disc suits viewers with a DVD player who want this chapter of the Ghostbusters story at home.

## Where it shines
The story gives the newer characters and the original team a shared mission, with the action returning to the iconic New York City firehouse. The Spengler family’s arrival there connects the new adventure to the franchise’s roots, while the ancient artifact and ghost-filled threat give the group a clear reason to join forces.

Mckenna Grace, Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon and Paul Rudd feature alongside returning original Ghostbusters, including Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray and Ernie Hudson. That mix makes the film appealing to viewers following the newer characters as well as fans who enjoy seeing familiar members of the team back in the story. At 1 hour and 55 minutes, it offers a full-length feature for an evening watch.

## Key takeaways
This is a bilingual DVD rated PG by the Canadian Home Video Rating system. The listed subtitle options are English, French, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Spanish and Thai, giving viewers several ways to follow the film. For a shared viewing, the subtitle selection can help make the dialogue easier to follow for people with different language preferences.

The film centres on teamwork across generations: the Spenglers return to the firehouse, where the original Ghostbusters have developed a research lab, and the two groups face the new threat together. Customers often describe the film as entertaining and thrilling, and some appreciate it as a continuation of the franchise and a film they would watch again. Reactions to the story itself are mixed, so the strongest draw is the blend of returning characters, supernatural adventure and franchise continuity.

## Practical tips
