## Description

## What to know

Cover a greenhouse, garden bed or outdoor growing area with a mesh shade cloth that reduces direct sun while allowing air to circulate. This black 10ft x 20ft net provides 50% shade, helping protect plants from strong sunlight without turning the covered space into a solid, enclosed cover. Its breathable, lightweight polyethylene mesh is UV-resistant and water-resistant, making it suited to practical garden and shelter setups.

The net is designed for tying in place and has no grommets. Plan to secure it to suitable supports so it stays positioned over the area you want to shade. At 10ft x 20ft, it offers a broad coverage area for garden structures, greenhouse spaces and other applications where a lighter, ventilated cover is useful.

## Who it’s for

This shade net is for gardeners looking to moderate direct sunlight over plants while keeping airflow through the covered area. The 50% shade level makes it a useful choice when you want partial shade rather than a fully opaque barrier. Since the mesh is breathable, it also suits growing spaces where air circulation matters and some rain can pass through to plants.

It can also be used for livestock housing, poultry buildings, hoop structures, barns, kennels and chicken coops. For these settings, its large format and tie installation make it adaptable to different supported structures. The net is lightweight, so it can be handled and positioned as part of a seasonal or task-specific setup.

## Everyday use

For a garden bed exposed to direct sun, position the cloth above the plants and secure it to the supporting structure. Its mesh construction allows air to move through, while the shade helps reduce direct sunlight on the covered area. Because water can pass through the net, plants can still receive rain without taking the cover down, watering can also be done with the shade in place.

Unlike a solid sheet that blocks airflow, this breathable net balances sun protection with ventilation. That makes it a practical format for greenhouses, hoop structures and garden areas where you want overhead shade without fully enclosing the space. The black mesh can also be used across utility areas such as poultry buildings or kennels, wherever a tied-on shade cover suits the structure.

## When it makes sense

Choose this Garden Expert net when you need a wide, tie-on cover that provides partial shade for plants or an outdoor structure. Its 10ft x 20ft size is useful for covering larger areas, while the 50% shade rating gives a clear indication of the level of sunlight filtering. UV-resistant polyethylene, breathable mesh and water-resistant construction bring together the key features for a garden shade setup that remains open to airflow and rain.

A solid pick if you want a lightweight mesh alternative to an opaque cover for a greenhouse, garden or suitable animal shelter. Its broad coverage and breathable design make it especially useful where reducing direct sun should not mean closing off air movement.
