etoolab Propane Torch, 14FT Hose

How to use it

If you need a torch for occasional, close-up heating, a shorter setup may be easier to manage, this one is designed to cover a wider range of outdoor jobs. Its two-section design switches between 24-inch and 37-inch configurations, so you can choose a more compact reach or stand farther back from weeds and work surfaces. The 14FT hose gives you additional distance from the propane tank, while the adjustable flame control and self igniter are intended to make operation more straightforward. Uses listed include weed control, melting snow and ice, lighting charcoal, and heating asphalt.

For example, the longer configuration could help when working along a driveway, where bending over each weed would get tiring. The shorter setup offers a more compact tool for controlled, close-range heating, but the flame is still powerful: the listing gives an output of up to 1,800,000 BTU and temperatures over 4,000°F. What matters more for your job: reach, or a smaller flame tool that is easier to handle around delicate areas? This torch is aimed at substantial outdoor heating, not fine-detail work.

Pros

• Two lengths let you choose between a 24-inch torch and a 37-inch configuration.
• The 14FT hose provides working distance from the tank and is described as heat-, abrasion- and scratch-resistant during normal outdoor use.
• A flame control valve and self igniter are included, along with a brass adapter for smaller propane cylinders.
• Its listed uses span yard maintenance and other outdoor heating tasks, including snow melting and charcoal lighting.

It makes sense if you want one torch for several outdoor jobs and value the choice of reach. It isn't for you if you need a low-output tool for delicate work, or if your tasks are mainly indoors. The concentrated flame can reach up to 30 inches, so keep the work area clear and follow operating instructions and local fire regulations, according to the manufacturer, those precautions apply to its outdoor uses.

What I’d consider

The key trade-off is power and flexibility versus control. The long hose and two configurations suit jobs where you want to cover ground or avoid bending as much, a smaller, lower-output torch would be the more sensible approach for careful work near plants, painted surfaces or anything combustible. The product description lists a broad tank range, but does not give fuel-consumption information, so it does not establish how long a particular cylinder will last during a job. Choose it for demanding outdoor heating where its reach and range of uses matter, rather than for occasional precision tasks.
