## Description

## Practical tips

The 75% compact layout keeps a mechanical keyboard’s features in a smaller footprint, helping leave more room on your desk for a mouse, notebook or other essentials. Its grey finish and RGB backlighting also make it easy to shape the look of your setup.

Choose Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless when you want to connect without a cable, or use the Type-C connection for a wired setup. The keyboard supports three connection modes, so you can select the one that suits your workspace and switch between them as needed.

For a desk shared between Mac and Windows computers, the TFT screen lets you switch the keyboard’s OS mode. It can also display battery status, date and time, connectivity, operating system and backlight effects, with customizable visuals for a more personal interface.

## Why it makes sense

A full-size keyboard can suit a desk where a number pad is essential, the AK820 Pro takes a more compact approach, prioritizing a smaller footprint while retaining a mechanical typing layout and practical controls. The volume roller gives you a direct way to adjust audio, while the hot-swappable design supports changing switches without replacing the entire keyboard.

Its gasket-mounted construction separates the plate and PCB from the case to reduce vibration and noise. The flex-cut PC plate and PCB add a slight flex to keypresses while maintaining a stable typing feel. Sound-dampening foams complement that construction, and the south-facing RGB LEDs offer customizable lighting with 1.6 million colour combinations.

In a home office or shared setup, the wireless modes can help keep the desk clear of a keyboard cable, while USB-C provides a wired connection option. The compact dimensions also make it practical to move between work areas. The screen brings useful status information onto the keyboard itself, rather than leaving every adjustment to on-screen menus.

## What to clarify

**What information can the TFT screen display?** It can show battery status, date and time, connectivity, operating system and backlight effects. Its visuals are customizable.

**How can the keyboard connect to a device?** Use Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless or the USB-C wired connection. The keyboard supports all three modes.

**Can it be used with Mac and Windows?** Yes. It is compatible with both operating systems, and the TFT screen can be used to switch between Mac and Windows modes.

## Final verdict

The EPOMAKER Ajazz AK820 Pro suits users who want a compact mechanical keyboard with flexible connectivity, customizable RGB and a useful onboard display. Its 75% layout, volume roller and hot-swappable design make it a practical fit for a work or gaming desk where space and adaptable controls matter.
