## Description

## What matters most

Tactile, responsive scissor keys give each command a distinct press, helping you trigger macros quickly while keeping your attention on the game, stream or app in front of you. The Elgato Stream Deck Scissor Keys Workflow Controller puts 15 programmable keys within reach for launching apps, switching OBS scenes, opening Discord or muting with a single tap.

Each key has an LED-lit, customizable display, so its icon can show the action it controls. That makes a set of shortcuts easier to scan at a glance than a collection of remembered keyboard combinations. You can also assign keys to display CPU, GPU, ping, FPS or other system stats, keeping useful information visible alongside your controls.

It connects through USB-C and works with Windows and macOS. The detachable stand supports a compact desktop setup, while the included 150 cm USB-C to USB-C cable provides the connection. Regular plugin updates bring new features and options for tailoring the deck to your workflow.

## Best use cases

This controller suits streamers who want quick access to scenes and audio controls, as well as gamers who use repeatable macros or want system stats at a glance. It can also simplify everyday desktop routines: assign keys to frequently opened apps, recurring actions or tools you use throughout the day, then identify each one by its icon.

Compared with relying on multi-key shortcuts or switching between windows to find a control, the Stream Deck gives those actions dedicated, visible buttons. Set up the keys around the tasks you repeat most, whether that means managing a stream, coordinating apps during play or keeping a few work tools ready. The 15-key layout gives you a defined set of controls in a compact unit, rather than requiring a full-size macro keyboard.

## Everyday use

The customizable displays help make each key’s purpose clear, and the tactile press provides a distinct feel when triggering an action. A practical setup might place scene changes and mute on easy-to-reach keys, with performance readings assigned to others. For a general desktop workflow, the same layout can launch apps and handle recurring commands without taking your hands through a sequence of shortcuts.

The stand is detachable, so the deck can be arranged to suit the space on your desk. Its dimensions are 11.8 x 8.4 x 3 cm, with a weight of 286 g. Buyers often highlight the customization and functionality, views on reliability, ergonomics and value for money are mixed, so the most relevant benefit is the direct access to the actions you choose to program.

## Is it worth it?

Worth considering if you regularly repeat the same controls while streaming, gaming or working across apps. Its appeal is the combination of 15 programmable scissor keys, clear LED-lit icons and optional system monitoring in a dedicated desktop controller. If your routine involves frequent app changes or stream adjustments, assigning those actions to visible one-tap controls can make them easier to reach and manage.
