## Description

For homes with a mix of hard floors and carpets, pet hair, or everyday spills, the ECOVACS DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone combines vacuuming and mopping in one robot. Its OZMO Roller 3.0 uses a continuous fresh-water supply to scrub hard floors, while BLAST suction picks up dust, debris, and pet hair. The OMNICYCLONE station handles automatic emptying and roller care.

## Who it’s for
This model is designed for households that want one cleaning routine for mixed flooring. It vacuums carpets and hard floors, and mops hard floors with a roller that is continuously supplied with fresh water. FocusJet Pre-Spray helps loosen sticky spills and dried-on grime before the roller scrubs, making the setup particularly relevant for kitchens and other busy areas.

Pet owners can also benefit from BLAST suction, rated at 53AW of Air Power, for picking up pet hair and everyday debris. ZeroTangle 4.0 helps reduce hair wrapping around the main and side brushes, while automatic emptying into the bagless station means less frequent handling of collected dust. For multi-room cleaning, laser mapping, obstacle avoidance, scheduling, and multi-floor mapping help tailor cleaning to the home.

## What stands out
OZMO Roller 3.0 supplies fresh water through 32 outlets as it cleans, while a scraper removes dirty water in real time to help reduce smearing. The 10.6-inch roller spins at 220 RPM, and FocusJet Pre-Spray loosens grime ahead of the scrubbing pass. This approach gives the X12S a distinct role compared with a vacuum-only robot: it can tackle dry debris and routine hard-floor messes in the same cleaning plan.

When the robot detects carpet, Carpet Shield lifts the wet roller by 0.59 inches and closes a cover to separate it from carpet fibres. For navigation, AIVI 3D 4.0 recognizes and avoids common objects, and TruePass adaptive climbing helps it handle thresholds and door tracks. PowerBoost PLUS can restore up to 13% battery during a 3-minute roller wash, helping the robot resume unfinished cleaning sooner.

The OMNICYCLONE station empties debris into a reusable container, washes the roller with temperature-controlled hot water, and dries it with 145°F hot air. It also dispenses cleaning solution, manages dirty water, and cleans itself. Together, these features reduce routine interaction with the dustbin and mop between cleaning sessions.

## Practical questions
Can the X12S clean homes with both carpet and hard floors? Yes. It vacuums carpets and hard floors, and its Carpet Shield raises and covers the wet roller when carpet is detected to help reduce moisture transfer.

How does it deal with sticky spills? FocusJet Pre-Spray loosens buildup before the OZMO Roller 3.0 scrubs the hard floor. Fresh water is supplied continuously, while the scraper removes dirty water during cleaning.

Does the station use disposable dust bags? No. The OMNICYCLONE station empties debris into a reusable container, so there are no disposable dust bags to replace.

## Final verdict
The DEEBOT X12S OmniCyclone is suited to homes that need both carpet vacuuming and hard-floor mopping, especially where pet hair and kitchen spills are part of the regular clean-up. Its fresh-water roller, carpet protection, tangle-reducing brushes, and bagless station bring those jobs together in one mapped, app-controlled cleaning routine.
