## Description

When you’re filleting a catch at the dock or preparing fish at home, a flexible blade can help you follow the contours around bones and ribs. The DRAGON RIOT Fillet-7 pairs a 7-inch forged German stainless steel blade with an ergonomic handle for controlled filleting and bait preparation.

A leather sheath is included, giving the blade a covered option for transport and storage between fishing trips.

## What stands out

The flexible blade is designed to move along the natural shape of a fish, helping separate the flesh from bones with controlled strokes. That makes this knife a practical choice for detailed filleting, where following the fish’s contours matters more than using a rigid blade for general cutting. The 7-inch length also suits a range of everyday fishing tasks, from preparing bait to portioning fish.

The forged stainless steel blade and ergonomic handle bring together durability and a comfortable grip for hands-on prep. A leather sheath rounds out the setup, so the knife can be kept covered when it is not in use. For anglers who want a dedicated fillet knife rather than a more rigid all-purpose knife, this combination is geared towards fish preparation and outdoor use.

Customer feedback is positive about blade quality, cutting performance and build, while opinions on sharpness vary. That makes the knife’s flexible design and practical filleting use the clearest reasons to consider this particular style.

## The essentials

- Type: Fillet knife
- Model: Fillet-7
- Blade: 7-inch German stainless steel, forged, plain edge
- Overall length: 32.5 centimetres
- Weight: 137 g
- Handle material: Acrylic
- Included: Leather sheath

The blade’s flexible design is intended to help it track along bones and ribs, while the plain edge is suited to controlled cutting. The sheath covers the blade for carrying or storage, keep the knife covered when it is not being used.

## Tips for day-to-day use

For a practical filleting setup, use the knife for fish preparation and keep a separate, more rigid knife for tasks that call for a stiffer blade. As you work, guide the flexible blade along the bones and natural contours rather than forcing it through the cut. This approach makes use of the blade’s design and helps keep the work focused on separating flesh cleanly.

The included sheath is useful when packing the knife with fishing gear or putting it away after preparation. Covering the blade between uses also helps keep it protected during transport and storage. The ergonomic handle is designed to support a secure, comfortable grip during cutting, including when fish preparation involves repeated strokes.

## When it makes sense

It’s a good fit if you want a dedicated 7-inch fishing knife for filleting, cutting bait and preparing fish outdoors or at home. Its flexible blade is the key consideration for anyone who prefers a knife that can follow bones and ribs, a rigid blade serves a different need when the priority is firmer, general-purpose cutting. With the leather sheath included, the Fillet-7 also suits anglers who want a covered way to carry or store their knife between uses.
