## Description

Switch outdoor or indoor devices from a more convenient spot with the included remote. The outlet offers a control range of up to 100 ft and can operate through doors and walls. Choose remote operation when a plug is awkward to reach, use a standard outlet when you prefer to switch a device by hand. Its single plug-in socket suits lighting, seasonal décor and other compatible devices.

## Practical tips

Plug the outlet into a suitable receptacle, then connect the device you want to control. The remote lets you switch it on or off without going outside to reach the plug, which is useful for lights or decorations placed in an inconvenient spot. The stated range is up to 100 ft, and the control signal can work through doors and walls.

For outdoor use, position the plug at least 2 ft above the ground with the plug pointing directly downward. This placement helps protect the connection from water. Its IP44 rating and weather-resistant design support outdoor applications, while the plug-in format also works for indoor devices. Keep the connected device within the outlet’s 15A and 1875W ratings.

## Strengths

Remote switching is the main advantage when the outlet itself is difficult to access. Rather than walking out to unplug a device or reaching behind furniture, you can use the remote to control the connected equipment from a more practical location. That makes the outlet useful for indoor lights, holiday decorations, irrigation systems and other devices suited to its electrical rating.

The design serves both indoor and outdoor tasks, so one remote-controlled outlet can address different needs around the home. Buyers commonly highlight straightforward setup and operation, along with the convenience of controlling a device remotely. These are practical benefits for anyone looking to make an existing plug-in device easier to switch, rather than replacing it with a more involved control setup.

## Is it worth it?

It’s a good fit if you want remote on-off control for a plug-in device and value the freedom to place it somewhere that is less convenient to reach. The combination of a 100 ft control range, one socket and an outdoor-ready design makes it especially useful for lighting and seasonal décor, as well as suitable indoor equipment. For outdoor placement, follow the downward-facing plug position and keep it at least 2 ft above ground. That practical setup helps make remote control accessible while the connected device stays within the outlet’s rated capacity.
