DEROFIT Black Fence Privacy Screen, 6' x 50', Chain-Link Cover

If you want a fence covering that adds seclusion while still allowing airflow, this DEROFIT screen is designed for that balance. Its listed 90% visibility blockage makes it a screening layer rather than a fully opaque barrier, so expectations matter if privacy is the main reason for buying.

The black, 6' x 50' screen is intended for chain-link fencing and can also be used around patios, pools, balconies, yards, farm edges and construction sites.

Who it’s for

This covering suits someone looking to screen an existing chain-link fence without replacing it. Alongside added privacy, the product description says it helps defend against UV rays and reduce dust and noise. That may be useful for a backyard or patio where you want a more sheltered feel while keeping some air moving through the fence. It is also presented for crop protection and construction-site screening, although the right fit will depend on the area you need to cover.

If you’re comparing it with a solid barrier, the screen’s airflow is a practical distinction, the trade-off is that it is not described as fully blocking visibility. Worth considering if you want a broad covering for an existing fence and can accept some visibility through the material.

Strengths

The listing describes reinforced fabric edges, brass grommets and a design intended to withstand rust, wear and outdoor conditions. Zip ties are included for attaching it to chain-link-style fencing, and the screen can be folded and stored in a clean, dry space when it is not in use. A six-month limited warranty is stated for normal use and weather conditions.

Buyer feedback is mixed on how much privacy it provides. Some buyers find the screening effective, while others say it appears more transparent than expected, some mention using a double layer for more coverage. Buyers also report that the panel does its job, with some saying it helps with dog barking and does not affect light reaching plants. These are individual impressions, not a guarantee of a particular result. It’s not for you if you need reliably complete visual privacy from a single layer.

The essentials

• Size: 6' x 50', product dimensions are also listed as 15.5L x 1.75W meters
• Colour: Black
• Compatibility: Chain-link-style fencing
• What’s included: One screen, zip ties are described as included
• Warranty: Six-month limited warranty under normal usage and weather conditions

There is an inconsistency in the material information: the specifications list polypropylene, while the feature description calls the fabric 170 GSM HDPE. The listing also claims 90% visibility blockage, but buyer experiences differ, so neither the exact fabric nor the privacy result is presented consistently. The listed size is useful for planning coverage, but the supplied information does not specify how much overlap to allow at edges or around fence posts.

Is it worth it?

This is a practical format to consider when you want to cover a chain-link fence rather than install a separate solid screen. Its size, included ties and stated airflow make it relevant for outdoor areas where partial screening is enough. If your priority is a dependable opaque boundary, the mixed reports on privacy and the listing’s own 90% blockage figure point to a different approach being a better fit. For a less enclosed feel, with the option to add a second layer if needed, this screen offers a more flexible screening setup.
