Delta kitchen faucet 9659-CZ-DST

Key specifications

The pull-down sprayer is held in place by MagnaTite Docking, which uses a magnet to help keep it from drooping when it is returned to the spout. For a busy kitchen, that small detail could make the faucet feel tidier between rinses. This Trinsic model also has a single handle and a Champagne Bronze Brilliance finish.

Its DIAMOND Seal Technology is designed to reduce leak points, while the finish is tested for corrosion resistance. Those are useful features to weigh if you want a faucet intended for everyday sink work, though the product details do not tell us how the finish will look in every kitchen or how it will age with a particular cleaning routine. Without having tried it, the practical case rests on its stated design features rather than hands-on performance.

Who it’s for

It may interest you if you want a pull-down sprayer and prefer a magnetic dock to keep the spray head seated when it is not in use. Picture rinsing a plate, then letting the sprayer return to the spout instead of leaving it hanging slightly out of place. The single-handle layout also keeps the controls together, which may suit a kitchen where you want a straightforward way to adjust the faucet.

The mounting details matter before you choose it. The faucet fits a single-hole installation or a three-hole, 4 in. installation, the optional deck plate, part RP64070, is sold separately. Check your sink’s existing layout and whether you need that plate. It won’t suit you if you need a deck plate included or your installation does not match the configurations listed.

Everyday use

This is a more feature-focused approach than choosing a basic kitchen faucet without a pull-down sprayer or magnetic docking. The sprayer can be useful for rinsing around the sink, while MagnaTite is intended to keep it docked after use. Touch Clean is also named in the product listing, but no further details are provided here, so it is difficult to judge what that feature adds to upkeep.

The Brilliance finish is described as corrosion-resistant and tested to at least twice industry standards. That gives a reason to consider it if finish durability is a priority, but it is not a promise that the faucet will remain mark-free under every household’s cleaning habits. The stated lifetime limited warranty is another point in its favour, the specific coverage terms are not included in the product information.

Before you decide

Will it fit a three-hole sink? It is listed for three-hole, 4 in. installations, with the optional RP64070 deck plate sold separately. Confirm whether your setup needs that plate.

Does the sprayer have a docking feature? Yes. MagnaTite Docking uses a magnet to hold the pull-down sprayer in place when returned to the faucet.

What is the finish? Champagne Bronze with a Brilliance finish, which is described as corrosion-resistant. The listing does not provide care instructions or a guarantee against marks.

Final verdict

This Delta faucet is worth considering if its pull-down sprayer, magnetic docking and Champagne Bronze finish match what you want at the sink, and your mounting layout is compatible. The main trade-off is that the deck plate is optional rather than included, while details about Touch Clean and warranty coverage are limited. If you need a different mounting arrangement or want all installation parts specified upfront, compare those details before choosing.
