datonten RQBK9 Universal Garage Door Remote, 4-Button Keychain, 2-Pack

For drivers who want a compact remote for a compatible garage door opener, the datonten RQBK9 puts four control buttons in a keychain-style design. The two-pack provides a remote for more than one driver or a convenient spare for another set of keys.

Each remote supports up to four openers, helping you manage multiple garage doors without carrying a separate control for each one. Radio-frequency connectivity and a stated maximum range of 120 feet make it practical for operating a compatible door as you approach home.

A sliding cover helps prevent accidental button presses while the remote is carried. The compact fob also has a built-in LED transmitter and low-battery indicator, so you can see when a signal is being sent and when the battery needs attention.

Where it shines

This remote is designed for compatible LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Sears Craftsman openers from 1993 onward that use a purple, red/orange, yellow or green smart/learn button on the powerhead. Check the opener’s button colour before programming, this remote does not support dip-switch openers. Its four-button layout is useful when one person needs access to several compatible doors, such as a home garage and a second garage door. Instead of carrying multiple single-door remotes, you can use one fob for up to four supported openers.

The keychain format keeps access close at hand without requiring a larger handheld remote. The sliding protective cover adds a practical safeguard in a pocket or bag, where keys and other items could otherwise press the buttons. Customer feedback also highlights the compact size, ease of use and convenience of the cover, with buyers generally describing the remote as straightforward to set up and carry.

Usage tips

Before programming, identify the smart/learn button on the opener’s powerhead and confirm that its colour matches the supported types. Follow the supplied instructions carefully, or use the programming video referenced by the product information. Assigning a button to each compatible opener gives you a clear routine: select the relevant button when arriving at the garage, then keep the fob attached to your keys for the next trip. A CR2032 battery is included, and the remote has a low-battery indicator.

Is it worth it?

A solid pick if you want a small keychain remote that can control several compatible garage door openers and prefer having two fobs for a household. The four-button design reduces the need to carry separate remotes, while the sliding cover helps guard against accidental presses during everyday carry. Its strongest fit is for LiftMaster, Chamberlain or Sears Craftsman openers with one of the listed smart/learn button colours, making it a practical choice for managing compatible garage access from a compact key fob.
