## Description

For an indoor kitchen island, dining area or other spot that needs a pendant with an adjustable hanging height, the COTTMIC black glass fixture pairs a ribbed shade with a flexible 66in cord. Its downlight design directs light towards the surface below, while the black glass and metal finish brings a farmhouse-meets-modern look to the room.

The single-pendant format also works above a bedroom sink or bar area, adding focused lighting without changing the fixture’s clean, compact profile.

## Benefits

The vertically ribbed glass shade adds texture and softens direct exposure to the light source, helping create a more considered look than a plain, unshaded bulb. Its black finish gives the pendant a defined presence against a light ceiling or wall, while the glass and metal construction suits interiors styled with either farmhouse or modern details.

An adjustable 66in cord makes it easier to set the hanging height for the space. That flexibility is useful when positioning a light over a kitchen island or dining table, where the drop can be tailored to the layout rather than relying on a fixed-height design. The fixture can also be installed on flat, sloped or vaulted ceilings, making it adaptable to different ceiling shapes.

## Highlights

The pendant uses an E26 bulb base and accepts LED, CFL or other E26 filament bulbs rated up to 60W. It is designed for one light source and provides downlighting, with a stated maximum output of 800 lumens and white light. Choose a dimmable bulb and pair it with a dimmer switch when you want adjustable brightness, both are required for dimming and are not included.

At 12in, the black ribbed-glass shade brings a noticeable decorative detail while keeping the fixture focused on one area. Use it on its own for a defined pool of light, or plan its position as part of the room’s broader lighting arrangement. The package includes the shade, mounting hardware and an instruction manual.

## Practical tips

Before installation, choose the position and hanging height that suit the island, table or other surface below. Follow the supplied instructions and use the mounting hardware for ceiling installation. If you are not comfortable with home electrical work, have a professional electrician install the fixture.

Select an E26 bulb within the 60W maximum. For dimming, use both a dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. This keeps the bulb choice aligned with the pendant’s stated base and the lighting effect you want in the room.

## Should you buy it?

Choose this COTTMIC pendant if you want a black, ribbed-glass ceiling light that combines a decorative shade with a flexible drop. Its adjustable cord and suitability for flat, sloped or vaulted ceilings offer practical placement options, while the E26 base lets you select from compatible LED, CFL or filament bulbs. It is a fitting choice for focused indoor lighting over a kitchen island, dining area, bedroom sink or bar, especially when the fixture should add both downlight and a distinct glass detail.
