## Description

For dog owners looking for a small martingale collar, this black CollarDirect design is sized for a 12–15 in. neck and has a 5/8 in. width.

Would a collar that serves both training and everyday use suit your routine? Its martingale design uses a stainless steel chain and O-rings, with a buckle for putting it on and taking it off.

Reflective thread adds a practical visibility feature, while the nylon construction keeps the collar suited to regular walks and handling. The small size gives you a specific fit range to work from when choosing a collar for your dog.

## Practical tips

Measure your dog’s neck where the collar will sit, using a soft measuring tape, and compare it with the stated 12–15 in. range. The manufacturer also recommends measuring around the widest part of the head, including the ears, so the collar can pass over comfortably. A correctly chosen size helps the martingale style sit as intended during use.

This collar is described for training as well as daily wear. Its chain-and-loop design can gently tighten with leash tension to discourage pulling, so use it with a suitable leash and keep an eye on the fit during walks. Reflective thread adds a visibility detail for outings where light is lower, without changing the collar’s everyday role.

Buyer feedback often highlights the collar’s appearance and functionality. Opinions are more varied on durability, adjustability, sizing and how securely it fits, making careful measurement an especially useful step when selecting this small size.

## Getting the most from it

Use the size range as your starting point rather than choosing by breed name alone. Adjust the collar so it rests at the midpoint of your dog’s neck, then check that it can be slipped over the head as intended. The reflective black nylon design suits owners who want a straightforward collar for regular walks, with a martingale-style option for training. If you’re choosing between a standard buckle collar and a martingale design, this one offers the latter’s controlled tightening action alongside a quick-release buckle.

## Practical questions

**How should I choose the size?** Measure your dog’s neck at the point where the collar will rest and compare it with the 12–15 in. range. Also measure the head, including the ears at their widest point, to make sure the collar can pass over.

**What is the martingale style intended to do?** The collar is designed for training and everyday use. Its slight tightening action can gently discourage leash pulling when tension is applied.

**What makes the collar reflective?** Reflective thread is incorporated into the nylon, adding a visibility feature for walks in lower light.

## Is it worth it?

A solid pick if you need a small martingale collar with a defined 12–15 in. neck range, reflective thread and a stainless steel chain. It brings a training-oriented design to routine walks while retaining a buckle closure for everyday handling.
