Casoter Swivel Caster Set, 2-inch

Moving a cabinet, tool box or small workstation across a room is easier when its wheels can swivel and the set includes a brake. The Casoter caster set uses TPE wheels with ball bearings and a metal structure, and is intended for furniture and other light-duty DIY projects.

It comes as a four-pack with a stated combined load capacity of 86.4 kg. Check the mounting dimensions against your furniture before choosing it, the product details do not specify which fasteners are supplied.

Technical details

Each caster has a 50 x 17 mm wheel, a 46 x 38 mm top plate and an overall height of 64 mm. The listed installation size is 36 x 28 mm, with 5.2 mm bolt holes. The set’s stated total load capacity is 86.4 kg (190 lb) across all four casters, that is a combined figure, not a rating for each wheel.

The wheels are described as TPE, with ball bearings, and the structure is metal. The swivel top-plate design includes a brake. The supplied details also state compliance with CE, EN, JIS, NSF and RoHS standards, though they do not explain the scope of each certification.

Getting the most from it

These casters are presented for home furniture and DIY builds, as well as cases, dollies, tool boxes, cabinets and equipment stands. For example, they could suit a storage cabinet that needs to roll out for cleaning and then stay in place while you access its contents. The swivel format is useful where the item needs to turn in a tighter space rather than travel only in a straight line.

A good choice if you want a four-caster set with a brake and a stated combined capacity for a light-duty project. It won't suit you if your build needs a different plate footprint, a specified fastener package or a documented capacity for each individual caster.

Usage tips

Before installation, compare the plate, hole spacing and overall height with the available space and mounting surface. A mismatch can make fitting difficult or change how high the furniture sits. When planning the load, account for the complete item and its contents, and use the stated 86.4 kg as the set’s total capacity rather than assuming each caster can support that amount.

After fitting, check that the wheels swivel freely and that the brake can be used as intended for your setup. The listing describes the movement as smooth and quiet, but does not give a noise level or details about how the brake engages. If those points matter for a particular floor or application, the available specifications may not answer them.

Before you buy

This set takes a plate-mount approach, so it makes more sense when your project has a suitable flat mounting area than when you need a stem-mounted or otherwise differently fitted caster. Its stated applications are broad, but the dimensions and light-duty positioning are more useful buying checks than the list of possible uses. Confirm the fit first, especially for a compact cabinet or case where plate space is limited.
