## Description

Some wrist supports are intended mainly for compression, the BraceUP B405 adds a metal splint to provide firm wrist stabilization. This version is sized L/XL for the right hand and uses three adjustable straps to secure the fit.

Designed for carpal tunnel support, it can also be used for everyday wrist discomfort associated with tendonitis or arthritis. Its structured support is suited to activities such as typing and gaming, as well as night-time wear.

The aluminium splint and two built-in plastic splints help hold the wrist steady, while the open-finger design leaves finger movement available for daily tasks.

## Key takeaways

The B405 combines compression with splints for firm wrist support. Three hook-and-loop straps let you adjust how the brace sits around the hand and wrist, and the anatomical design includes a soft cushion. The brace is made from polyester, with mesh material described as helping keep the hand and wrist comfortable during wear.

This is the right-hand L/XL version. The manufacturer’s sizing guidance places L/XL at a wrist circumference of 7.5–9 in (19–23 cm). Measuring around the wrist and comparing that measurement with the sizing chart helps you choose the intended fit. Left- and right-hand options are offered separately, so select the side that matches the hand needing support.

## Cleaning & care

Hand wash the brace with mild soap and leave it to air dry. Remove the aluminium splint before washing, a small opening near its pocket allows it to slide out. The manufacturer also describes careful hand washing with the splint in place, but removing it first is the straightforward care approach. Allow the brace to dry fully before wearing it again.

## Everyday use

For a typing or gaming session, adjust the three straps to hold the wrist support in place while keeping the fingers free to move. The same firm, splinted support can be used during other daily activities or overnight, according to the intended use. Its right-hand design makes this version specific to the right wrist rather than a reversible brace.

Customers often describe the support as secure and easy to put on, with positive comments about help for wrist discomfort. Feedback is mixed on how well the fastenings and brace hold up over time, and some users mention skin irritation. These are individual experiences rather than a measure of the fit for every wearer.

## Questions before you buy

**How do I choose between S/M and L/XL?** Measure around your wrist. The manufacturer’s guide lists S/M for 5.5–7.5 in (14–19 cm) and L/XL for 7.5–9 in (19–23 cm). This listing is the L/XL version.

**Can I move my fingers while wearing it?** Yes. The brace supports the wrist while leaving a full range of finger motion, making it suitable for tasks that use the fingers, such as typing.

**How should I wash it?** Hand wash with mild soap and air dry. Remove the aluminium splint before washing using the opening near the splint pocket.

## When it makes sense

Choose the BraceUP B405 if you want a right-hand wrist brace with firm splinted support for carpal tunnel-related needs, daily discomfort, or activities such as typing and gaming. Its adjustable straps, open-finger design and removable aluminium splint make it a practical fit for people who want wrist stabilization while keeping their fingers available for everyday tasks.
