## Description

Three rotary sound modes give the BOSS RT-2 a flexible way to add movement and vintage character to a guitar or keyboard setup. Its compact pedal format brings rotary speaker-inspired sounds to a pedalboard without relying on a full-size rotary cabinet.

Choose from a vintage-style rotary sound or two modified tones with enhanced spatial effects. The options make it easier to shape the effect around different parts, from a subtle sense of motion to a more pronounced, spacious sound.

A virtual rotor display uses lights to indicate treble and bass rotor speeds, so you can see the effect’s movement at a glance. Fast/slow rotor speed control and a Drive knob add hands-on ways to shape the sound.

The RT-2 is designed for guitar and keyboard use, making it a practical choice for players who want rotary-style modulation within an existing instrument setup. Its 1/4-inch audio connection fits the familiar format used in many instrument rigs. For a compact pedalboard approach, it offers rotary character in a form that is easier to place alongside other effects than a rotary speaker cabinet.

## Compatibility
Use the RT-2 with a guitar or keyboard setup to add rotary speaker-inspired movement. Its three modes offer distinct starting points: the vintage rotary sound for a classic character, and the two modified modes when you want enhanced spatial effects. This range is useful when one pedal needs to serve different parts or musical textures without changing the overall setup.

## Practical tips
Start by selecting a mode that suits the part, then use the fast/slow rotor control to adjust the motion. The virtual rotor lights indicate treble and bass rotor speeds, providing a visual reference as the effect changes. Turn the Drive knob to add vintage tube-style saturation and bring more character into the sound. These controls make it straightforward to shape the effect from the pedal itself while keeping the instrument rig compact.

The RT-2 can also be considered alongside a traditional rotary speaker cabinet. A cabinet is the more direct route for players building around that larger format, the pedal instead puts rotary sounds and adjustable rotor behaviour into a compact effects setup. That makes it a useful approach for guitarists and keyboard players who want these tones available as part of a pedalboard or instrument rig.

## Buying verdict
The BOSS RT-2 is a focused choice for adding rotary speaker-inspired movement to guitar or keyboard playing. Three modes, visible rotor-speed cues, fast/slow control and Drive give you practical ways to adapt its character to a part, while the compact pedal format keeps the effect easy to integrate into a setup.
