Its compact format and quick installation make it a practical way to add wireless functions to supported BOSS and Roland products. Pair a compatible product with a Bluetooth device to use the functions available for that specific model. For practice, that can mean streaming music from a cell phone while playing, Bluetooth MIDI can also provide wireless control of product functions where supported. ## Practical tips Start by identifying the exact BOSS or Roland product you plan to use the adaptor with, since available Bluetooth functions vary by model. Once installed, pair it with a compatible Bluetooth device such as a phone or tablet. For a practice session, stream a backing track from your phone through a compatible product and play along, MIDI communication can support wireless control when the host product offers that function. The adaptor receives power from the host product, so it works as an expansion for compatible gear rather than a separate standalone audio device. Its small size also makes it straightforward to incorporate into an existing setup without adding a separate full-size interface. ## Benefits The BT-DUAL brings two useful wireless standards together: Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI (BLE-MIDI). Audio can make music playback part of a compatible product setup, while MIDI supports communication for controlling functions. This gives players more flexibility than a wired-only approach when the host product supports the required feature. BOSS lists the Katana Gen 3 and ME-90 among compatible products, and the adaptor is also compatible with the Roland TD-02 V-Drums Sound Module. Customer feedback often highlights its usefulness for connecting a phone for audio, playing along with music and making product functions available through MIDI. Buyers also commonly describe installation as straightforward. Experiences with Bluetooth connection and audio responsiveness are mixed, so the available functions and behaviour are tied to the compatible product being used. ## What to know This is an expansion adaptor for compatible BOSS and Roland products, not a universal Bluetooth receiver for any amplifier or instrument. The host product determines which wireless features are available: Bluetooth audio may support music streaming, while Bluetooth MIDI may allow control of product functions. Check the product’s compatibility and supported features when planning a particular setup, especially if you want both audio playback and MIDI control. Installation is designed to be quick and easy, and power comes from the host product. That keeps the adaptor integrated with the compatible gear rather than requiring its own power source. Customer opinions on Bluetooth connectivity and audio performance vary, so choosing the right host product for the intended use is an important part of getting the desired workflow. ## Before you decide **What does the BT-DUAL add?** It adds Bluetooth audio and Bluetooth MIDI (BLE-MIDI) capabilities to compatible products. The specific functions available depend on the host model. **Can it be used with a phone or tablet?** Yes. After installation, it can pair with a Bluetooth device such as a smartphone or tablet to communicate wirelessly with a compatible product. **How is the adaptor powered?** It receives power from the compatible host product, and installation is described as quick and easy. ## When it makes sense The BT-DUAL makes sense for players who want wireless audio playback or MIDI communication on compatible BOSS or Roland gear. It can support a more convenient practice setup with music streamed from a phone, while MIDI adds a wireless control option where the host product allows it. Choose it when those specific capabilities will add useful flexibility to your compatible setup. ## Images ![BOSS BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adaptor for Compatible Products — 1](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/dz0lYPt6H1ld6k58bemtJ7LIkujNBVWvjMIYVD3DlzEiyI6VzFnJFaHp3cvpBbgiYgRBQy38MF8WtQnwDqgF5IkuXQUqxyPS2kvzmCNelv16rU0pp0S20H76iw.jpg) ![BOSS BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adaptor for Compatible Products — 2](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/LF7LthXl9iqEizYFYXMY7ic8P3gAqL47ZMVIiAe6u5Z4BnLtMzjYChufti17zMoemtcj5NItJj2D4W0n1jDPRYkKsP3L_xEMKZhjoequmpq9Xu3wlfbAmdl9_A.jpg) ![BOSS BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adaptor for Compatible Products — 3](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/IG8bSJAFb1yvuuBHYD6qGeACu5JJA_tgLKCKS5v2R3jHiUtMHAcYKkWzET81cKCmLZyOqdwCE3QKEhkjfapr9TiKDWxQvF3B6Jmi7krHc44suvKKPAmwd5IxtQ.jpg) ![BOSS BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adaptor for Compatible Products — 4](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/72lEwBkMtpXjKSA1rrHRi7aTLL6NyJ3mgX1UBmAIYv3Ct6H24qwrw6xyqQiwU_3bGO9nV75iL_h09Mx_0bcT3MBbjT-hvI_UootPG9YupEgQ63IjqoqQYjbuhQ.jpg) ![BOSS BT-DUAL Bluetooth Audio MIDI Adaptor for Compatible Products — 5](https://www.ofertitastop.com/i/9-SvStix7xUqapJmwbEvHNLgMTHjifO-34zGkoBqd3X21uTprnTI_nYdCkhqBd0h82nYqkTIT_HYMVFWrZfdp5XkmWUyM3VYS7-3wWGpDbsKuLv5zpi_qOg7GQ.jpg)
