BOFENG Full Metal Platform Bed Frame with Oak-Colour MDF Headboard

The BOFENG Full bed frame measures 198L x 139W x 88.5H centimetres and combines a metal structure with a wood-look headboard. Its black frame and natural oak colour give it a rustic style, while the platform design is intended to support a Full mattress without a box spring.

The mattress is not included, so this is a frame-and-headboard purchase rather than a complete bed set. Its proportions and finish are the main details to weigh against your room and existing bedding.

Key features

Reinforced steel slats provide the mattress support, and the product information lists the frame as squeak-resistant. The headboard and footboard pair steel with P2 MDF board, the stated finish is matte. Pre-drilled holes are included for assembly, and the listed components include the headboard, slats and installation manual. The wood used for the bed board is described as FSC certified.

The platform format may suit someone who wants to avoid buying a separate box spring. Compared with a simpler metal frame without a headboard, this design adds a visible oak-colour panel and a more finished look to the bed area. It does not include the mattress, however, so that remains a separate purchase.

Buyer feedback is mixed in practical areas. Some customers describe the frame as sturdy and assembly as straightforward, while others report difficulty with assembly, hardware concerns or damage and durability problems. Those differing experiences are worth keeping in mind alongside the product’s listed construction details.

Best use cases

This Full frame is suited to a bedroom where a metal platform base and rustic-looking headboard are both wanted. The black-and-oak combination can work as a focal point without requiring a matching bedroom set. Its stated mattress size is Full, so it is best matched with bedding and a mattress in that size rather than chosen as a flexible, multi-size frame.

Worth considering if you want a headboard, reinforced metal slats and a platform setup that does not require a box spring. Not the best choice if you need a mattress included or are shopping for a different mattress size.

Usage tips

Plan the room layout around the listed dimensions before assembly, including space for the headboard and footboard. Follow the supplied instructions and use the pre-drilled holes as intended, the product information says assembly tools are included. Since customer accounts of assembly vary, allow time to sort the parts and hardware rather than assuming setup will be effortless.

Once assembled, use a Full mattress and keep the frame on an even floor surface. The product description mentions plastic foot plugs to help protect flooring, but does not provide a care routine for the MDF board. A damp cloth may be appropriate for routine surface dust, but avoid treating that as a manufacturer-provided cleaning instruction.

Before you decide

Does it need a box spring? No. The frame is described as a platform bed with slat support, so a box spring is not required.

Is a mattress included? No. The product details explicitly state that the mattress is not included.

What size mattress does it fit? The listed compatible size is Full, and the frame dimensions are 198L x 139W x 88.5H centimetres.

Should you buy it?

Choose this BOFENG frame if its Full size, black-and-oak appearance and no-box-spring platform design match your room and mattress plans. Its headboard gives it more presence than a basic metal base, while the steel slats provide the intended support structure. The mixed buyer feedback on assembly, hardware and durability makes it sensible to consider those reported concerns before choosing it over a simpler frame. The strongest reason to select it is the combination of a rustic-style headboard and metal platform in one frame, the clearest reason to look elsewhere is needing another size or a mattress included.
