## Description

Pick up crumbs from hard floors, then move straight to the area rug without changing machines. The BLACK+DECKER Powerseries Extreme BSV2020G is a cordless stick vacuum with an angled floorhead and three-speed control for cleaning across hard surfaces, area rugs and carpet.

Its 3-in-1 cleaning system combines V-shaped bristles with an anti-tangle brush bar, designed to collect different kinds of debris and help manage hair wrap. LED floorhead lights make dirt easier to spot as you clean.

Need to reach stairs, furniture or a tight spot? The unit converts to a handheld vacuum, bringing floor cleaning and smaller above-floor jobs together in one machine.

## Key points

The removable 20V MAX* lithium-ion battery powers the vacuum for up to 55 minutes. Its battery is part of BLACK+DECKER’s 20V MAX* Lithium Ion POWERCONNECT family, a useful detail for households already using compatible tools in that range. The front-facing 0.65 L dustbin releases with one touch, while the built-in twist-to-clean filter cleaner is designed to provide up to twice the suction.

For day-to-day use, the combination of stick and handheld formats means one vacuum can move from open floor areas to stairs and furniture. A self-standing design makes it convenient to park upright between tasks, and the wall mount offers a dedicated storage option. Customer feedback is positive about performance on carpet and hard floors, while opinions are more mixed on dustbin cleaning and ease of taking parts apart, some buyers also raise durability concerns.

## Getting the most from it

Use the angled floorhead to move between hard flooring, area rugs and carpet, selecting from the three speed settings for the task. The floorhead’s V-shaped bristles are intended to collect different types of debris, and the anti-tangle brush bar helps manage hair as it is picked up. This setup suits regular household clean-ups where floor surfaces vary from room to room.

For a quick clean around a sofa or on the stairs, convert the stick vacuum to handheld mode. The flip-up brush helps reach awkward spots, while the LED lights can make dirt beneath furniture or in dimmer areas easier to see. If you already use compatible batteries from the BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX* POWERCONNECT family, the removable battery system may also fit naturally into your existing cordless-tool setup.

## Usage tips

Choose the speed setting to suit the surface and the mess, then guide the angled head across the area. Switch to handheld mode for furniture, stairs and other above-floor cleaning. After a session, release the front-facing dustbin with the one-touch mechanism, and use the twist-to-clean feature to help clear the built-in filter. The vacuum can stand upright when you pause or finish, making it easier to put away without laying it across the floor.

Compared with choosing a separate stick vacuum and handheld cleaner, the BSV2020G combines both formats in one cordless unit. That can be a practical approach when your cleaning routine includes both room-sized floor areas and smaller spots such as upholstery or stair treads.

## Practical questions

**What surfaces can it clean?** The angled floorhead and three-speed control are intended for hard floors, hardwoods, area rugs and carpet.

**Can it clean stairs and furniture?** Yes. The vacuum converts to handheld mode, and its flip-up brush supports cleaning furniture and other hard-to-reach areas.

**How do you empty it and maintain the filter?** The 0.65 L dustbin is front-facing and removable with a one-touch release. The built-in twist-to-clean feature helps clean the filter.

## When it makes sense

The BLACK+DECKER Powerseries Extreme is a practical fit for homes that need one cordless cleaner for mixed floor surfaces as well as stairs and furniture. Its three speeds, handheld conversion, removable 20V MAX* battery and easy-release dustbin support a flexible routine, from quick crumb pick-ups to broader household floor cleaning.
